1. Acquisition of Basic Components for Production

In soap making, there are a number of ingredients made up of modifying materials such as:

Oils and fats - palm oils, coconut oil (pellets), caustic soda (alkali) and other chemicals,
perfumes and colors, Detergents & Liquid products require surfactants.

All source materials are selected from suppliers who have been approved for use by our
company and all materials must pass through testing before being utilized in the
manufacturing process for Quality Control purposes.

2. Compounding & Batch Blending of Raw Materials:

Each type of Raw Material must be weighed out and measured together according to specific
formulas generated by our R&D laboratories.

Batching rooms will provide all batches blending within a controlled environment so that
each ingredient will be mixed appropriately.

Saponification of Oils (Soap Making Process)

When Soap is manufactured, the oils and fats become chemically combined with an alkali
solution i.e. Sodium Hydroxide to form the Soap and Moisture (Glycerin).

3. Purifying and conditioning bath soaps:

The soap will go through the process of filtration, drying and then also dialyzing (removing
odour).

In the case of Detergent and Liquid Products, when phases of saturation take place, the end
result will be a homogenously mixed blend.

4. Molding and Shaping Solid Soaps:

The solid soap will be molded into bar forms on moulds, presses or forming lines.

Liquid products will be pumped into Holding Tanks prior to transferring to Fill Lines.
Page 23
5. Finishing & Additives:

As part of the finishing, additional additives may be included, such as colors, moisturizers,
perfumes, etc.

Additional specialty ingredients such as perfume, Glycerin, etc. may also be included during
this final process of manufacturing.

6. Packing of Finished Goods:

Filling, Wrapping, Boxing and Labeling will be automatically processed at the speed of our
automatic packing machinery.

During packaging, inspections for quality assurance (QA) will check the packaged goods'
weight, seal integrity and Brand Label.

7. Quality Audits and Distribution:

All quality audits will be conducted on randomly selected product samples to ensure that all
physical, chemical, microbiological and pathogen characteristics are in compliance with
established QA standards.

Product Decisions

Product decisions at Wipro follow a dual strategy. On one side, Wipro focuses on high-
end, AI-driven IT consulting services for global enterprises. On the other, it operates a
specialized consumer care products division. The company emphasizes digital
transformation, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence to drive growth. With revenue of
around $11.2 billion in FY 2024, Wipro aims to become a fully AI-powered organization
by 2025.

Product Strategy Decisions:

Wipro focuses on AI-powered transformation by investing in advanced technologies to

achieve AI-driven operations by 2025.

The company delivers industry-specific solutions tailored to sectors such as healthcare,

retail, energy, and manufacturing.

Its Wipro Full Stride Cloud unit drives growth through end-to-end cloud services. Wipro
also supports digital Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) by integrating AI to
accelerate product development and launches.

An agile Product PODs approach enables faster software delivery.

While its consumer care portfolio includes strong brands like Santoor, Chandrika, Yardley,
and Wipro Garnet LED lights.

Page 28
Product lifecycle management:

Wipro enables digitalization of product value chain for organizations with Digital PLM at its
core and a gambit of other digital initiatives such as Model Based Enterprise and Industry
4.0, to deliver Next Gen products Smarter-Faster–Safer. Wipro’s Digital PLM Approach
connects people, processes and business systems across product value chain through a
seamless digital thread and enables companies to innovate faster in the digital era.

Page 29
Market Segmentation

Wipro’s market segmentation strategy is

centered on its IT Services and Wipro
Enterprises businesses. IT Services target key
industries such as banking, healthcare, retail,
and telecom using geographic regions
(Americas, Europe) and industry-specific
GTM strategies.

For IT Services:

 Geographic Segmentation: Focuses heavily on large markets like the Americas (split into
Americas 1 & 2 by industry) and Europe, plus APMEA (Asia, Pacific, Middle East, Africa).

 Industry (Vertical) Segmentation: Organizes IT sales teams around key sectors:

Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI)

Healthcare & Life Sciences

Retail, Consumer Goods & Distribution (CPG)

Telecom

Manufacturing, Energy & Utilities, Media, Technology

For Wipro Enterprises (Non-IT Businesses):

 Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting: Segments by product category (Soaps, Personal Care,
Lighting, Home Care) and geography (India, SE Asia, Middle East).

Page 30
 Wipro Infrastructure Engineering: Targets B2B industrial segments like
Construction, Agriculture, Mining, Forestry, Aerospace, and Water Treatment (Oil & Gas,
Power, Pharma).

Customer & Service Segmentation (Cross-Business):

 Customer Analytics: Uses machine learning for CPG clients to segment consumers by
demographics (age, location) and behavior (purchase patterns) to find up selling/cross-selling
opportunities, notes Wipro.

 Persona-Based: For automotive, Wipro segments users into "Digital Natives" and
"Technology Friendly," says Wipro.

 Supply Chain Segmentation: Helps manufacturers tailor supply chain responses to

different customer needs (e.g., fast delivery vs. cost efficiency).

Page 31
Market Promotion

Wipro's market promotion leverages digital-first,

data-driven strategies, focusing on Omni channel
engagement, AI-powered personalization, and
thought leadership through integrated campaigns
across web, social, and email, supported by a
robust direct sales model and strategic alliances to
target large enterprises, delivering integrated
solutions from branding to hyper-personalization for
improved ROI and customer experience, exemplified by their "Ambitions Realized"
campaign.

Optimizing trade promotion – key to stay ahead:

Consumer Goods (CG) companies face multiple business challenges including the explosion
of shopping channels, balancing double-digit growth in emerging markets with flat growth in
developed markets, execution complexity across markets, growing retailer consolidation and
power, and the shift from advertising to trade spend.

Trade spend today is the largest component of the marketing budget and for most CG
companies the largest expenditure after Cost of Goods (COG). No longer is it acceptable for
CG companies to improve Trade Promotion (TP) Spend effectiveness through systems and
process improvements only. In order to be a leader in tomorrow’s markets, today’s
organization must optimize all components of their TP operations.

Page 32
Wipro clients include:

Page 33

Conclusion

In this particular report, we covered everything about Wipro Limited. We saw Wipro was
established as Western Indian Vegetable Products, an oil-making company, before it
transformed under Azim Premji into an IT service company. We also covered its mission and
vision, which focus on providing the best services with the latest technology.

From this corporate study report I learn how the company can manage their day to day
operations effectively, face financial crisis and use strategies to stay ahead in competition
from their competitors whatever product they produce.
