Tutorial 3

The document contains a series of electrical engineering problems involving steady state currents through resistors, inductors, and capacitors, as well as calculations for input impedance, instantaneous power, and average power in circuits. Each problem requires the application of relevant formulas and principles to find the desired electrical parameters. The document also references specific figures for circuit diagrams to aid in problem-solving.

50 uF. Find the steady state current through the capacitor.
4. Find the input impedance of the circuit shown in Fig. 4.17 taking ω = 50
rad./s.

5. Find the current I in the circuit shown

6. The circuit voltage and the circuit current in a passive linear circuit are v(t)
= 75 cos (10t + 20֠) V and i(t) = 20 sin (10t + 60̊). Find the instantaneous
power and the average power.
7. Calculate the average power absorbed by an impedance Z = (30 - j 70) Ω
when a voltage of 120 ∟10 V is applied across it.

8. For the circuit shown in Fig., find the average power supplied by the
source. Also compute the average power absorbed by the resistor and the
inductor.
