Tutorial 4 Solution

The document outlines a tutorial with six problems related to electrical circuits, focusing on capacitive reactance, impedance at resonance, resonant frequency, quality factor, and bandwidth. It requires calculations for various circuit parameters including those for series and parallel LC circuits. Each problem is designed to enhance understanding of resonance in electrical engineering contexts.

Tutorial 4

1. For the circuit shown, determine the value of capacitive reactance and
impedance at resonance

2. Determine the resonant frequency for the circuit shown in Fig

3. For the circuit shown in Fig, determine the impedance at resonant

frequency, 10 Hz above resonant frequency, and 10 Hz below resonant
frequency.
4. Determine the quality factor of a coil for the series circuit consisting of
R=10 Ω, L = 0.1 H and C = 10 uF.
5. For the circuit shown in Fig, determine the value of Q at resonance and
bandwidth of the circuit.

6. Find the resonant frequency in the ideal parallel LC circuit shown in Fig.
