Course Title: Advanced Research Methods: Quantitative
Credit Hours: 2
Course Objectives
The aim of the course is to equip internees with necessary knowledge of Quantitative
Research. The course will cover topics ranging from conceptualization of idea to Research
Report
Writing: Generating Research Idea, Literature Search, and Hypothesis Formulation, Methods of
Data Collection, Research Design, Ethical Considerations and Report Writing. Focus will be
both
on Quantitative methods.
Course Outcome
At completion of this course, the internees will be able to have grasp over basic concepts
and steps involved in conceptualizing and conducting research project. They will be able to
develop a Research Plan and execute it independently.

Course Title: Advanced Research Methods: Practical
Internees will be expected to critically evaluate articles printed in different Journals on
ethical issues, confounding variables, statistical application and research designs etc. In addition
they will plan and execute small scaled Quantitative studies in a group of 3-4. Evaluation will be
done on the basis of their written Research Reports.
