My Earth Tomorrow!

Pollution of the Earth

Pollution affecting the seven continents of the world.

The pollution types:
- air pollution;
-water pollution;
-ground pollution.
Water pollution represents the changes in the composition or the quality of
the water, as a result of the work of man, or as a result of natural processes
so that it becomes less appropriate to its users.
The waste discharged into the water decrease the quantity of oxygen content
which leads to failure of survival of several forms of life.
The reduction of water pollution may be achieved by:
- the construction of wastewater treatment plant which should be equipped
with special filters;
-improvement of special tanks in order to collect residues to prevent
discharging them directly into the water;
-the avoidance of the lodging of the toxic waste in the beds of rivers and on
riverbanks.
Water puts out our thirst. Do not contaminate it.
Polluting the atmosphere represents contamination with different
toxic substances as a result of both natural and industrial uses.
Prolonged presence of these substances in the atmosphere can result in
problems of the respiratory system. Most of the cities on Earth are exposed
to these pollutants in a higher quantity.
Air pollution can be reduced by:
-manufacture of cars with less polluting materials;
-the equipment of the motor vehicles and industrial equipment with special
filters in order to restrict the long-range transmission of air pollutants;
-the protection of forests and the environment of life by planting green
spaces.

"Forests keep our lungs healthy! Do not destroy them!'

Pollution of the earth affects both the climate and the shape. Due to the
global warming, caused by numerous effects such as the greenhouse
effect, the most common types of relief and the climate are affected or
changed.
An example is the glacial relief. The glaciers from the north pole, are
willing to the risk of melt due to the global warming , increasing the level
of large and oceans.
Another example: annually, due to hot climate change, hundreds of
hectares of forests are destroyed by the fire, along with the flora and
fauna.
,,Terra is our house! Keep it clean!'
The conservation of Earth is an ensemble of measures to be taken to prevent
and to remedy the pollution.
Measures for the conservation of water, air and soil:
-the cut on the emission of the power plant;
-the location of the industrial objectives at the periphery of the localities;
-the maintenance and development of green spaces, parks and trees;
-maintaining clean waters;
-keeping streets clean.
The new rules of development of the earth place emphasis on the
sustainable development of the earth, meaning the development which
ensures the present needs without compromising the capability to future
generations to ensure their own needs.
The development of the means not only higher profits and higher standards
of living for a small percentage of the population, but increasing the
standard of living of all.
The development must not involve destruction or chaotic use of resources
our natural, nor environmental pollution.
For a better life on Earth tomorrow we must take the following
measures:
-improve the technologies on the dispersion of the pollutants as high as
possible;
- improvement the quality of fuel ;
- stop cutting down the forests
The purpose of these measures is the protection of plants and animals,
particularly rare species or those on the verge of extinction.

,, A small gesture made by millions of people has a huge impact on

the environment.'
