DayMate Presentation Scripts - Per Slide

SLIDE 1 – Title Slide

This is an app na designed to make your daily life easier—combining

everything you need in one place: scheduling, money management, mood
tracking, notes, at AI suggestions. Lahat in one app lang. We hope you find
this interesting, so let's get started!"

SLIDE 2 – What is DayMate?

"So basically, DayMate is one app na pwede mong gamitin para sa lahat ng
kailangan mo sa daily life—instead of using five different apps.

First, you can manage your schedule—add tasks, set reminders so you don't
forget. Second, track your expenses—makita kung saan napupunta ang pera
mo. Third, a mood journal—log how you're feeling and see patterns, like
maybe you're stressed on certain days. Fourth, a notes section para sa
important thoughts. And finally, an AI helper na bibigay ng suggestions
based sa your habits.

Think of it as your personal assistant na tumutulong sa iyo every single day."

SLIDE 3 – The Problem We're Solving

"Alam nyo ba ang feeling na kailangan nyo ng maraming apps just to

manage your life? Like, you use Todoist for tasks, but your expenses are in a
different app, mood tracking in another one... So you're switching back and
forth, which gets super frustrating and nakaka-stress.

The problem is that all this information is scattered everywhere—mahirap i-

track lahat. Users just want ONE app where everything is there. No more
confusion, no more switching. That's where DayMate comes in—
consolidating everything into one place so you stay focused."

SLIDE 4 – Who Can Use DayMate?

"DayMate is for pretty much anyone, but specifically:

Students and professionals—if you're busy balancing school or work and
need to get organized. Young adults aged 18 to 35—managing your first
job, budgets, relationships—lots of stress, right? Parents and working
adults—managing household expenses, schedules, emotional well-being.
And honestly, anyone who wants to get their life more organized and reduce
stress.

Whether you're cramming for exams, dealing with work deadlines, or just
trying to manage life—DayMate is designed for you."

SLIDE 5 – What Can DayMate Do? (Part 1)

"Let me break down the main features:

First, Schedule and Tasks—parang a to-do list but with reminders. You add
your tasks, set deadlines, and get notifications so you don't forget important
stuff. It's like having a digital personal assistant reminding you 'Hey, you
have a meeting at 2 PM.'

Second, Money Tracking—this is helpful especially para sa students and

young professionals. You log your spending, organize it by category—food,
transport, clothes, whatever—and then you can see exactly where your
money is going. Sobrang helpful para sa budgeting."

SLIDE 6 – What Can DayMate Do? (Part 2)

"Continuing with the other features:

Third, Mood Tracking—basically a digital journal for your feelings. You log
how you're feeling every day, and over time, the app shows you patterns.
Like 'Oh, I'm always stressed on Mondays' or 'I'm happier when I exercise.'
This helps you understand yourself better and take care of your mental
health.

Fourth, AI Suggestions—the app learns from your habits and gives you
tips. Like if you're always tired, it might suggest 'Rest more today.' Or if you
accomplished something, it celebrates with you. It's not super advanced AI,
but it's helpful and encouraging."

SLIDE 7 – What We're Trying to Build

"So our main goals for this project are:

First, create a scheduling tool na easy to use para sa daily tasks. Second, a
money tracker para makita mo kung saan napupunta ang pera. Third, a
mood journal para ma-track mo ang emotional health mo. Fourth, integrate
AI suggestions na tutulong sa better daily decisions. And finally—this is the
most important part—put it all together sa isang app.

No more switching between five different apps. Just one DayMate. That's our
main objective: simplify life by consolidating everything."

SLIDE 8 – The Tech Behind It

"For those of you curious about the technical side:

The app itself—we're using Android Studio with Kotlin or Java. That's the
standard way to build Android apps, and it's reliable.

The brain behind it—the backend—we're using either [Link], Laravel, or

Python. This handles all the logic, like processing your expenses or
generating AI suggestions.

The storage—your data needs to be saved somewhere safe, so we're using

MySQL, Firebase, or PostgreSQL. These are all industry-standard and secure.

Don't worry if you're not tech-savvy—basically, we're using popular tools that
big companies trust, so it's safe and reliable."

SLIDE 9 – What's Included in Version 1

"Here's what you can expect from the first version of DayMate:

It's an Android app with login for your personal account. You get schedule
management—add tasks, get reminders so you don't forget. You can track
expenses by category. You can log your mood and see trends over time.
There's a notes section para sa important stuff. And basic AI tips na
makakatulong.

We're focusing on Android first since that's what most Filipinos use. iPhone
version maybe in the future. These are the features we're confident we can
deliver this year."
SLIDE 10 – Limitations (Being Honest)

"We also want to be honest about what we can't do yet, at least in version
one:

The AI is basic—hindi siya predictive or super intelligent, but it's still

helpful. Financial tracking—can't connect to your bank automatically, so
you have to enter expenses manually. Mood tracking—you have to update
it yourself; the app won't guess. Calendar integration—no connection to
Google Calendar or other calendars yet. iPhone—sorry, Android only for
now. Internet—you need connection for AI features and backup.

These are limitations, yes, but it doesn't make the app useless—actually it's
very useful pa rin. These are just areas we can improve in future versions."

SLIDE 11 – Why Should You Care?

"So why does DayMate matter?

For regular people—less stress, more organized life becomes easier. For
students and professionals—better grades, better finances, less
burnout. For developers—our project serves as a good example of how to
combine different features into one app. For everyone—healthier habits,
better mental health awareness, more organized life.

Bottom line: DayMate isn't just another app. It's about making life better for
people who are stressed and overwhelmed. And honestly, that's all of us,
right? We're all juggling multiple things. This app helps make it simpler."

SLIDE 12 – Meet the Team

"We're five IT students from the National College of Science and Technology,
Computer Studies Department:

Gabriel Louis Ongsip is our leader and coordinator. Jeremy Anne De

Guzman, Christian Charles Umbal, Vince Hannibal Bido, and Julius
Calica—we all worked together on this project.

We're passionate about solving real-world problems, and this project took
months of planning, designing, and coding. It's been a team effort, and we're
proud of what we've created together."
SLIDE 13 – Thank You

"That's the end of our presentation! We covered what DayMate is, the
problems it solves, who it's for, what features it has, the technology behind
it, and our honest limitations.

Thank you so much for listening. We really appreciate your time. Now, do
you have any questions for us? We're happy to explain more about how it
works, why we chose certain features, or anything else about the project.
Thank you, and salamat po sa pakikinig!"
