Universal Ledger

Universal Ledger is a new feature in SAP S/4HANA that combines different types of accounting data
(like FI, CO, Asset Accounting, Material Ledger, etc.) into one single table — called ACDOCA.

Earlier in ECC:

• Financial data (FI) was stored in one table.


• Controlling data (CO) in another.
• Asset data (AA) in another.

Too many tables, too much duplication, and reconciliation problems.

But in SAP S/4HANA, Universal Ledger combines all this data into one single source of truth — the
ACDOCA table.
