INTRODUCTION

ELVY: Friends and Family of the Bride and Groom, welcome and thank you for being here on this important
day.
AHNNE: We are gathered together to celebrate the very special love between the bride and groom by joining
them in marriage. All of us need and desire to love and to be loved. And the highest form of love
between two people is within a monogamous, committed relationship.
ELVY: Bride and groom, your marriage today is the public and legal joining of your souls that have already
been united as one in your hearts.
AHNNE: Marriage will allow you a new environment to share your lives together, standing together to face life
and the world hand in hand.
ELVY: Marriage is going to expand you as individuals, define you as a couple, and deepen your love to one
another.
AHNNE: To be successful, you need strength, courage, patience and a really good sense of humor.
ELVY: So let your marriage be a time of waking each morning and falling in love with each other all over again.
ELVY: So this time, let us welcome the arrival of the guests, principal sponsors, secondary sponsors: flower
girls, ring bearer, bible bearer, cord sponsors, and veil sponsors.
AHNNE: Let us also welcome the officiating official, groom’s men and bride’s maid, made of honor together
with the best man, parents of the bride and groom.
BOTH: And ladies and gentlemen, let us raise our glasses and welcome for the very first time as husband and
wife, MR and MRS FREELY and CRISJOY FRANCIS. Please give them a standing ovation and a heartfelt
applause.

words of counsel from the parents of the groom MR. EDMUND D. FRANCIS and MRS ELENA L. FRANCIS.

AHNNE: Thank you so much parents of the Bride and Groom. This time Let us hear a Response Message from
the Newly Wed. First may we call on the Handsome Groom to give His message to be followed by the
gorgeous Bride. Let us give them a warm applause.
ELVY: Thank you so much Mr. and Mrs Freely and Cris Joy Francis. One of my favorite author once wrote: “ If
love is not all, then it is nothing. This principle and its opposite, collide down all the years of my
breathless tale”. BRIDE and GROOM your breathless tale is about to begin. If love is not all, then it is
nothing.
It’s opposite- If Love is all, then it is everything- is going to be the basis for every aspect of your
relationship. All you have to do is simply love one another and that love shows through in everything you
do for one another, how you treat each other, in good times and bad. Love isn’t just a word, it’s an
action. Love isn’t something you say, it’s something you do.
AHHNE: That’s true Love is something you do. And our couple need to do one of the Wedding Tradition, The
Slicing of Cake. Of course, the bride and groom traditionally cut the first slice on their wedding cake. The
the bride feeds half of the piece of cake to the groom, and the groom feeds the remainder to the bride.
The ceremonial cutting is meant to symbolize the couple’s caring and sharing for one another. So this
time, let us witness the slicing of cake by the couple.
ELVY: Wine has been called the symbol of Life. It is like the blood flowing within our bodies. By sharing this
glass, the two become one. Wine also symbolizes the richness of life and sweetness of love. So, it is
appropriate that on this joyous occasion, you toast life with this ancient symbol.
Parents of the Bride and Groom, please fill the BRIDE and GROOM’s glasses and take a sip. This
represents the continuous connection between parents and Children. It is also a symbol of love and
encouragement you have provided them and will always provide them in their lives together.
Hand the cups to your children, and they will toast each other by drinking from their own cups as a sign
of maintaining themselves and their individuality.
Now BRIDE and GROOM drink from each other’s cups as a sign of sharing yourselves and your life
together. (DRINK)
Let this wine Ceremony represents the spirit of your lives together. By sharing this wine now, you have
shown your desire to blend your families together even stronger. May you always find Life’s Joy
heightened and its bitterness sweetened. Let us give them a round of applause.
AHNNE: Weddings are a melting pot of traditions, both old and new. The bouquet toss tradition is one that
has existed for hundreds of years and evolved over time. In this tradition, brides toss their bouquet
over their shoulders into a group of single women. Whoever catches the bouquet is supposedly
“next” to walk down the aisle. Requesting all single ladies here to please line up and catch the
bouquet.
ELVY: Thank you so much ladies. At this juncture it’s time for our gentlemen.
The wedding garter is a piece of bridal lingerie worn under the wedding dress. During the reception, the
groom will remove the garter from underneath the bride's gown (with his hands or teeth) and toss it
into the crowd. The garter toss is very similar to the bouquet toss. The bachelor that catches the garter
is believed to be married next. Before we go on with the garter toss, the groom is going to retrieve the
garter from his bride. So may we request Chris Joy and Pastor Freely to please come center stage and
do the Garter Retrieval Ritual. Now requesting all the single boys to please line up also and catch the
garter.
