Okay so how are you?


So before we start with our discussion what was our topic last meeting? Ok very good , so what are the
strategies to improve your listening skills?

Why do you think listening is important? So listening is curcial because it fosters understanding, strengthens
relationships and allows for effective communication. It demonstrates respect and empathy, contributing to
better collaboration and problem solving. So since we already done with the listening strategies lets have an
activity .I will group you into two groups, this will be the group 1 and 2. before we proceed what are the
standards in grouping.?
Activity: Direction: Each group will be given a set of jumbled words and each group will unscramble the
words . You will write your answer in a sheet of paper and post it on the board once it [Link] will be
given 5 minutes to formulate your answer.

Lets give ourselves 5 claps, 5 stamps and we did it!

Before we proceed with today’s lesson, let’s first have an activity. This activity is called “Browse and Name
It!” Browse means to surf, to look or to have a glance. Now, what you are going to do is to look or have a
glance on the pictures that I will flash on the screen one by one and you have to name it or label the logo or
application it represents. I will only give you 5 seconds to guess its name. Raise your hand if you know the
answer.

So now lets take a look at the picture and recall if you have seen them during your web browsing.
1. Are you familiar with them? What do you think are they?
2. What do you use when you want to find answers to your questions using the World Wide Web or the
Internet?
3. Which of those listed search engines do you use to look for information online?
4. In what ways or instances do you use these tools?

So based on our activity what do you think our topic this morning?

Discussion
Technology has brought us many changes. The way how we learn and discover things has changed also.
Finding information using the search engine is one of the advancements in education that technology
brought to us.
Do you agree that technology brought many changes to us in terms of communication and education?
Yes , as we all know during the time of our ancestors technology is not that popular,. so sang una indi uso
ang android phone , iphone , tablet, laptop only ang ila cellphone is ang keypad nga 3210 amo na ya ang
popular sang una. So now in today's generation , indi kompleto ang atun adlaw kung indi natun madala ang
atun cellphone,ang atun iphone kay tungod gaadopt kita kung ano ang trend or uso subong nga panahon.

 Internet connection is one of the essential channels to connect, communicate, and create ideas all may
be done in a single sitting. Today’s generation finds it handy or easy to use computers, laptops, tablets,
cellphones, or any gadgets and other devices to connect and explore the Internet. Moreover, in just
clicks away, you are far beyond the limits of knowing loads of information and animated motions.
As a student, an internet connection is a great help to aid you in your studies and other
questions in life. Yet, you have to be very cautious and disciplined to click any information that may harm
or poison your mind with fake news or wrong information.

So now what is search engine?


 is a website through which users can search internet content. To do this, users enter the desired search
term into the search field. The search engine then looks through its index for relevant websites and
displays them in the form of a list.
 It is a tool used within a web browser and Has a search bar.

How to research with a search engine?


1. Figure out what you need to know.
It helps to start out by writing down everything you already know about your topic and what you think you
may need to know for your report. If you don’t know anything about your topic, you can also try an
encyclopedia website like “Encyclopedia Britannica,” or talk to a librarian or teacher.
2. Combine keywords to focus your search
If you just search for “Jose P. Rizal,” you will find lots of information that might not be necessary for your
report. For easy gathering of information, you may use several keywords inside quotation marks. (Example:
Jose P. Rizal "birthdate") You may also use some keywords that you have learned from one site to another
to help you focus on the search topic.
3. Double-check your information.
Look for sites that list their references and source materials which will explain where the author found the
information. Always double-check the information you find on the Internet against an offline trusted
resource to make sure it is correct.
4. Bookmark reliable sites.
When you find a site that is a good resource, add it to your web browser favorites or bookmarks so you can
find it again easily. This will help you locate the resources in case you need the same information in the
future.

As a students in today's generation that technology is widely popular and bring the most advancement in
many terms . How are the search engines important in your life? what value we need to work out in order
to not easily fool with the information given by the internet.
