🌟 CÔNG THỨC VẠN NĂNG (A.R.E.
A) CHO SPEAKING PART 1
Bất kể giám khảo hỏi gì, bạn hãy áp dụng công thức 3-4 bước sau để câu trả lời luôn đủ
độ dài, logic và có đất diễn từ vựng:
1. A - Answer (Trả lời trực tiếp): Trả lời thẳng vào vấn đề bằng cách paraphrase lại
câu hỏi. (Đừng bao giờ lặp lại y nguyên lời giám khảo).
2. R - Reason (Đưa ra lý do): Tại sao bạn lại nghĩ vậy? (Sử dụng because, since, as,
the main reason is...).
said that, although, however...).
I. COMPULSORY FRAME 1: WHERE YOU LIVE NOW
Chiến thuật: Dùng các từ vựng miêu tả địa điểm, không gian sống và cảm xúc (tích
cực/tiêu cực).
1. Địa điểm và Môi trường sống
• Which town or city do you live in now?
Mẫu: I'm currently based in [Hanoi/HCMC], which is a bustling metropolis
located in the [North/South] of Vietnam. I’ve been living here for about [5
years] now.
• Are there any things you don't like about your area? (What are they?)
Mẫu: Well, if I had to pick one thing, it would definitely be the traffic
congestion, especially during rush hours. It can be quite overwhelming and
time-consuming. Having said that, the convenience of living here kind of
makes up for it.
• What are some changes in the area recently?
Mẫu: Over the last few years, my neighborhood has undergone massive
transformations. There used to be a lot of empty lots, but now they've been
replaced by high-rise buildings and modern shopping malls. It’s definitely
more commercialized now.
• Do you think you will continue to live there for a long time? (Why/ Why not?)
Mẫu: I'm on the fence about this. On the one hand, I love the vibrant lifestyle
here. But on the other hand, I might relocate to a quieter suburb in the future
to escape the hustle and bustle of the inner city.
2. Nơi ở hiện tại (Accommodation)
• Do you live in a house or an apartment?
Mẫu: I currently reside in a cozy apartment on the [10th] floor of a high-rise
building. It's not overly spacious, but it’s perfect for my current needs.
• What is your favourite room in your home? (Why?)
Mẫu: Hands down, my bedroom. It serves as my personal sanctuary where I
can completely unwind after a grueling day at work/school. I’ve decorated it
exactly to my taste, so it feels incredibly homey.
• What things make your home pleasant to live in? (Why?)
Mẫu: I'd say it's the abundance of natural light. My living room has large
windows facing the east, so it’s always bright and well-ventilated, which
really boosts my mood in the mornings.
3. Hàng xóm (Neighborhood)
• Are the people in your neighbourhood nice and friendly? / Do you know any of your
neighbours?
(Cấu trúc gom chung 2 câu)
Mẫu: To be completely honest, people in my apartment block mostly keep
to themselves. We occasionally exchange pleasantries in the elevator, but
we don't really know each other on a personal level. I guess that's pretty
typical for city life nowadays.
• Do you know any famous people in your area?
Mẫu: Not that I'm aware of, actually. My area is mostly residential and quite
low-key, so it doesn't really attract celebrities or public figures.
II. COMPULSORY FRAME 2: WORK/ STUDY
Chiến thuật: Thể hiện niềm đam mê, khó khăn trong công việc/học tập và thói quen cá
nhân.
1. NẾU BẠN CHỌN "WORK" (Làm việc)
• What kind of work do you do?
Mẫu: I'm currently working as a [tên nghề] for a [tên/loại công ty]. My main

clients].
• What do you find most interesting about your work? Why?
Mẫu: The most fascinating aspect of my job is that no two days are the
same. I'm constantly faced with new challenges, which really keeps me on
my toes and prevents the job from becoming monotonous.
• Which is more important to you - the people you work with or the work you do?
Why?
Mẫu: That's a tough call, but I’d have to lean towards the people I work with.
A supportive and collaborative work environment can make even the most
tedious tasks enjoyable, whereas a toxic workplace can ruin your dream job.
• Do you work best in the morning or the afternoon? Why?
Mẫu: I'm definitely an early bird, so my productivity peaks in the morning. I
usually tackle the most demanding tasks right after breakfast when my mind
is fresh, and leave the lighter admin work for the afternoon.
2. NẾU BẠN CHỌN "STUDY" (Học tập)
• What do you study?
Mẫu: I'm currently majoring in [chuyên ngành] at [Tên trường Đại học]. I’m in
my [năm học, vd: junior year], so the workload is quite heavy right now.
• What do you find most interesting about your studies? Why?
Mẫu: I'm absolutely captivated by [một môn học/yếu tố thú vị]. It gives me a
deeper insight into how the world works, and the practical experiments we
do are incredibly hands-on and engaging.
• Have you always wanted to study this subject/ these subjects? Why/ Why not?
Mẫu: To tell you the truth, it was an acquired taste. Initially, I chose this
major simply because it offered good career prospects. But as I delved
deeper into it, I genuinely developed a passion for it.
• How much time do you spend studying every week?
Mẫu: I dedicate a significant chunk of my time to my studies, probably
around [30 to 40 hours] a week. It involves attending lectures, completing
assignments, and doing independent research.
• How do you usually travel to the city where you study?
Mẫu: I usually commute by [phương tiện, vd: motorbike/bus]. It takes me
roughly [thời gian, vd: half an hour] to get to campus, depending on the traffic.
• Which is more important to you - the teachers or the other students on your course?
Why?
Mẫu: I value both, but peer interaction is slightly more important to me.
Bouncing ideas off my classmates and engaging in group discussions really
helps solidify my understanding of the material

1. Do you prefer to communicate face-to-face or via social media?
Mẫu (A.R.E.A): I definitely lean towards face-to-face interactions. (A -
Answer) The main reason is that it allows me to pick up on non-verbal cues
like body language and tone of voice, which prevents misunderstandings. (R
- Reason) For instance, catching up with a friend over coffee feels much more
genuine than sending texts. (E - Example) Having said that, social media is
still indispensable for staying in touch with friends who live abroad.
2. Do you argue with friends?
Mẫu: Yes, occasionally. We sometimes have differences of opinion, which is
completely normal. However, instead of getting into heated arguments, we
try to have constructive discussions to resolve our conflicts. I believe a
healthy debate can actually strengthen a friendship
Topic 2: Staying with old people (Giao tiếp với người lớn tuổi)
1. What are the advantages of working with old people?
Mẫu: Working with older colleagues offers a wealth of benefits. (A) Because
they are seasoned professionals, they have a lot of practical experience and
wisdom to share. (R) Whenever I hit a roadblock at work, my senior
colleagues always give me invaluable advice that I couldn't find in any

technology use, their mentorship is truly irreplaceable. (A)

offer words of encouragement rather than harsh criticism. (A)
Topic 4: Shoes (Giày dép)

Mẫu: Hands down, I prioritize comfort over style. (A) Wearing ill-fitting shoes

impress and wear dress shoes, but I usually can't wait to take them off. (A)
Topic 5: Rules (Quy định)
1. Do you think students would benefit more from more rules?
Mẫu: Not necessarily. In fact, I think it could be counterproductive. (A) While
basic guidelines are essential to instill discipline, an excessive amount of
rules can stifle creativity and critical thinking. (R) If students are constantly
micromanaged, they won't learn how to make independent decisions. (E)
Therefore, I believe finding a balance between freedom and structure is the
best approach. (A)
Topic 6: Plants (Cây cối)
1. Do you know anything about growing a plant?
Mẫu: To be completely honest, I don't really have a green thumb. (A) My
knowledge of gardening is quite limited, mostly just the basics like watering

find taking care of low-maintenance plants like cacti quite relaxing. (A)
Topic 7: Going out (Đi ra ngoài)
1. Do you always take your mobile phone with you when going out?
Mẫu: Without a doubt. My smartphone has become an absolute necessity
whenever I leave the house. (A) I rely heavily on it for almost everything, from
navigating the streets with GPS to making digital payments. (R) Leaving it at
home would leave me feeling completely disconnected and vulnerable. (E)
However, occasionally, I do try to leave it behind for a short walk to enjoy a
mini digital detox. (A)
Topic 8: Growing vegetables/ fruits (Trồng rau/quả)
1. Is growing vegetables popular in your country?
Mẫu: Yes, it has definitely gained traction in recent years. (A) With growing
concerns about food safety and pesticide use, many Vietnamese people
want to ensure they are eating organic produce. (R) You'll often see families
setting up mini gardens in foam boxes on their rooftops or balconies. (E) It’s
not just about food security, but it also serves as a therapeutic hobby for city
