α is not exactly the same for all trig ratios because of rounding in measurement.

If we could have measured each side exactly, the ratios sine, cosine
and tangent would have yielded the exact same angles. This is
because all three triangles are similar to each other. They each have a
right angle and they all share an angle. So they are similar under AA~.
As a result, the corresponding angles must be equal.
Make sure your calculator is in degree mode.
