ASSIGNMENT: VISIONARY LEADERSHIP
1. What is the vision God placed in you, and how will you fulfill it?
I believe that God has placed in me a vision to become a good leader who helps
others point them to Christ, giving them purpose and meaning in life. This vision
gives my life direction and purpose because there is no other purpose why we are
placed on earth. It is to glorify the One who gave us life and save us from eternal
death.
To fulfill this vision, I must first understand it clearly by reflecting, praying, and
recognizing my strengths and interests. Knowing my vision helps me stay focused on
my goals.
Next, I need to prepare myself by studying well, improving my skills, and building
good character, such as honesty, discipline, and responsibility.
I must also take action by starting where I am. At school, as a teacher, I am building
connections that last beyond our classes. I share the gospel with students because it
is what overflows in my heart.
Lastly, I will trust God and stay patient, even when challenges come. By staying
faithful and committed, I believe I can fulfill the vision God has given me.
2. What can happen when people have no vision beyond their current
situation?
When people have no vision beyond their current situation, they may feel lost and
unmotivated. They may stop trying to improve and simply accept their situation.
Without vision, people can make poor choices because they are not thinking about
the future. They may also lose hope easily when problems arise. As it is stated in
Proverbs 29:18, “Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint...” People
may have lost passion because of a lack of vision.
Having a vision is important because it gives direction, purpose, and hope for a
better future.
