Part 1: Thesis Statement Practice
1. Review the three essay topics below. Write a strong thesis statement
for each topic.
o Topic 1: The importance of mental health awareness in schools.

Part 2: Formatting Makeover


1. Below is a poorly formatted paragraph:
"In today's world, technology plays a crucial role in education. from online
learning platforms to interactive classrooms, students and teachers alike
benefit greatly from these advances. But it's important to ensure that
technology is accessible and equitable for all learners. Teachers must also be
trained in using these tools effectively. Without proper integration,
technology may widen existing gaps instead of bridging them."
2. Use MS Word to:
o Apply 1-inch margins, Times New Roman (12pt) font, and double-
spacing.
o Indent the first line of the paragraph by 0.5 inches.
o Add your name, course name, and date in the header of the
document.
