Tournament Rules:

Mixed Cricket

1.​ There will be 7 players on each team. Two girls are mandatory in the team.
2.​ A match will consist of 6 overs per innings.
3.​ One Guy one Girl from the batting side will open the inning, while girl from the bowling side will bowl first
over. Girl will open the inning (striker)
4.​ The Girl batter cannot be declared out and hit wicket will not be considered for them before 2 overs
5.​ If a girl is out before 2 overs the other girl will replace her.
6.​ All matches will be played with light weight tennis balls.
7.​ Every team must report 30 minutes before the game. If 5 minutes are delayed from the starting time of the
match, bye will be given to the other team.
8.​ It is the captain's responsibility to have all the team members present on the field before the match. Else the
Match will start with the available players.
9.​ The team must have 6 Players with at least one girl, or it will be disqualified, and the other team will get a
bye; incase of this opponent will be given chance to send men post first wicket (women)
10.​LBW is not applicable and all other rules for bowled, caught out, stump out, run out, hit wicket, handling the
ball shall be same as traditional cricket.
11.​ It will not be considered a wicket if the ball hits the net first and then the fielder catches it.
12.​Overthrow Runs are allowed whereas Byes, Leg byes are not allowed.
13.​Bowling action rules will be explained to both the teams before the match.(legal bowling action for women)
14.​Decisions made by the umpires are final. Any arguments with Umpire will disqualify the Team.
15.​Teams will be explained if there is a doubt about any rule or any change in the rule well in advance.
16.​In an innings, a bowler can bowl a maximum of one over.
17.​If batsman leaves the field of play without the Umpire's consent for any reason other than injury, he/she may
resume the innings only with the consent of the opposing captain. If he/she fails to resume his innings, he/she
is out.
18.​If a player is injured during play and cannot run, then based on Umpire’s decision runner can be allowed.
19.​The first over of the Match cannot be Magic Over.
20.​Through the entire match, every run scored by Girl (including No Balls and Wide Balls) will count as two.
21.​Magic over:

●​ Batting team will call a magic over before any over.


●​ If the batting side declares that the magic over, the bowling side has the authority to change the bowler.
●​ Runs scored by batsman (whether Boy or girl) in that over will be calculated double.
●​ Minus 5 runs will be calculated for each wicket that falls in that over. However, magic over is not
mandatory to take.

22.​If the match is tied a Super Over is played. If the Super Over is a tie, then subsequent Super Overs shall be
played until there is a winner.
23.​In the event of a tie (pointwise) after the league matches, the team with the
1.​ Highest Run Rates
2.​ Highest total (adding all match runs) + Wickets taken (1 wicket = 5 Runs)
3.​ Maximum Number of 6s
4.​ Maximum Number of 4s

qualifies for the knockout round. The Run rates will have 1st Priority then subsequently the Highest
total and then 6s and 4s.

24.​All teams must wear sportswear (track pants, t-shirt, sports shoes,shorts, etc.). Please do not wear formal
wear, jeans, or flotters.
Men’s and Women Cricket Tournament.

1.​ There will be 6 players in each team.
