Many people feel that students should learn from

online materials while others feel that it is better to use
printed materials.
Discuss both views and give your own opinion
In modern times, more and more people are using online or printed material for gaining
knowledge. There are those who say that pupils should gain knowledge from material that is
online; however others believe that use of printed material is better option. This essay will
examine both sides of the arguments and provide my overall opinion.

Generally speaking, there are two main reason s why people believe that online resources
for education are better for the students. Perhaps the main reason why people are in the
favour of this idea is because online. There are plenty of websites which are free for
users to provide free of cost study material, whereas similar material is
available in paper books but it is very expensive. Further point in support of this idea is that
students get tons of material with diversification, which helps them to be prepared for higher
level of competition

Despite the above mentioned arguments, many people believe that use of paper material is
much better choice for students. Firstly, they free paper books have relevant material for a
particular subject in comparison to online websites which provide study information. For
example, when students search particular keyword on website or Google, they get lot of material
which is irrelevant to their studies. However, paper books have authenticated materials which are
written by retired professors or university lecturers. In addition, students can write extra notes on
paper books which are given by their teachers in the class, but it is impossible in case of online
materials.

In conclusion, having considered both side of the issue, I would argue that students should opt for
paper books for studying because it is more relevant and helpful in comparison to online material.

2. we can gain from a

the serious issues such as
global-warming,
environmental pollution.
In modern era, scientific research has become an essential part of every
day's life. Many commentators are of the view that governing authorities
must invest a huge amount of money on researches based on science
instead of private companies. I partially agree with this idea and will
explain my point of view in further paragraphs.

Generally speaking, there are two reasons why people believe that
governing authorities should spend a wide range of money on
researches based on science instead of private companies. Perhaps the
main reason why people are in favor of this idea is that it increases
abundant amount of knowledge which can be used to improve people's
lives. For example, since government had spent money on researches in
field of technology, today, we are blessed with latest features of video
call conferencing through internet for online studies and business
meetings. On the other hand, private organizations are driven by profit
without thinking about the wellness of the society. Another possible
advantage of this idea is that we can gain from favourable outcomes
from the serious issues such as global-warming, environmental pollution.
if governments pay attention on such serious problems, upcoming
generations will definitely get relief from these issues in future.

Despite these arguments, many people feel that ruling parties should
also fund in private organizations for number of reasons. Firstly, it gives
more opportunities to gain more and more profit to the people. As a
result, it will be helpful in uplifting the standard of living of the
people. Secondly, employment rate will surely increase which in
turn would strengthen economies of the world and people will live
happily.

In conclusion, it must be said that whether money should be invested

on scientific research or private organization has become a complex
issue with no easy solution. My personal view is that both are equally
important and money should be distributed wisely on both aspects.

Some people spend a lot of money for their wedding ceremonies.
However, others feel like it isunnecessary to spend a lot.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
A huge amount of money is spent on wedding ceremonies. However, it is
often believed that it is not necessary to spend more money on such
events. While I agree that spending money on such memorable events is
important, but it should be in a limit so that money can be saved and
utilized in other important works.
Public celebrations (such as national days, festivals etc) are held in most
countries. These are often quite expensive and some people say that
governments should spend money on more useful things. To what
extent do you agree or disagree?

Agree that govt should spend Disagree that govt should spend
money on other useful things money on other useful things
1. Govt should invest money on
education
2. Infrastructure ( Roads, new
railway tracks )

3. Should start welfare

scheme(new houses for poverty
stricken people)

In modern time, majority of nations celebrate different

types of public celebrations such as national holidays
and some festivals. There are those who say that these
celebrations are very costly; therefore, government
should invest money on other important works such as
infrastructure and education. Although I accept that some
celebrations such as national day and republic days are
extremely essential to celebrate and limited money must
be invested in such celebration, money should be spent
on other important task instead of celebrations.
Generally speaking, there are a wide range of reasons why people
believe that money should be invested in other things instead of
celebration. Firstly, government should invest money on improving
educational system of the country which would benefit as improved
employment opportunities to the citizens. For example, if
government upgrades general schooling to E-learning with smart
classes, students would become more technology oriented and be
able to get new types of white-collar jobs that require technical
skills. Secondly, government can utilize money on welfare schemes
despite wasting it on celebration which can benefit lower class and
poverty-stricken people. As a result, such type of people would
definitely be able to uplift their status in the society.
Finally, improvement in infrastructure of a nation including roads,
railways and hospitals can be another important sector where
government needs to fund more money. Improved infrastructure
can be very useful measure to control some common issues like
higher traffic and increased accident which would also develop
another sector that is tourism. As a consequence, economic growth
will also increase day by day.

In conclusion, whether money should be invested on celebrations or

other important tasks is a topic which is very relevant to the society.
I personally believe that every government should pay much more
attention towards primary needs such as education, improved
infrastructure and employment of a nation instead celebrations.

Big salary is much more important than job satisfaction. To
what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is often believed that the role of higher remuneration is more essential in
comparison to contentment at work for employees. I completely agree with idea that
salary is significantly important than being satisfied from a work for any employee.

There are two reasons why I believe that big salary is more important instead of job
satisfaction. Perhaps the main reason why I am in favor of this idea is because it can
offer a luxurious lifestyle which everyone desires. In other words, when a person earns
fat pay checks from his job, he can afford to buy luxurious cars, modern house, and
many other things which he cannot dream with lower earnings. Also, they can afford
expensive educational courses for their children from universities or colleges.

Further point in favor of why high salaries are more important than job satisfaction is
that high income keeps an individual motivated at work. This is because when a firm
pays high number of salaries to employees, they feel passionate about job and work
whole heartedly for progression. As a result, both employees and company grow rapidly.
A case in the point is that majority of employees working with multinational
establishments always stay motivated and remunerated towards work, becoming more
productive because of higher wages, despite profound stress and anxiety at the
workplace.

In conclusion, whether big salary is more important, or job satisfaction has been a
debatable issue; however, I personally believe that having bigger salary rather being
satisfied from work always gives a sense of happiness and keeps a person motivated
towards progression.
Many people believe that film is a less important art than other

or disagree?

Agree films is less important than Disagree that films is less than
literature and painting literature and painting
1 importance of imagination which 1 earns more than other forms of art

through pictures and cartoons

In modern times the issue of arts in from of films or painting has become
highly controversial. There are those who say that a movie is a less
essential form of art in comparison to literature and painting. I partially
agree with the notion and believe both film and other form of arts have
their own value.

Generally speaking, there some reasons why people believe that film are
less important than literature and painting. Perhaps the main reason why
people are in favor of this idea is because of importance of imagination
which brings real issues in front of society through pictures and cartoons. In
other words, hundreds of years ago, play writers, novelists and painters
were held in higher esteem because they presented real issues of the
society in front of the world by using their artistic skills. They gained lot of
popularity in the culture and they were given lot of respect, as no video and
digital picture was available for entertainment at that time.

Despite these arguments, there is a case for the idea that films have
increased popularity equally since advancement in technology. Films
have become increasingly competitive in comparison to other artistic
forms at present because of money. Since popularity of watching movies
in theatres or cinema has up surged over few decades, actors, directors
and producers are able to earn decent amount of money in comparison
to other arts. Most movies, today, are based on realistic issues of the
present communities; therefore, other forms of arts have been replaced
with movies.

In conclusion, it must be said that whether films or other artistic forms

are more important has become a complex issue with no easy solution;
however, I personally believe that both are equally important and have
own significant and place in the society.
Influence of human beings on the world's ecosystem isleading to the extinction of
species and loss of bio- diversity.

What are the primary causes of loss of bio-diversity?

What solutions can you suggest?
reasons for loss of biodiversity solution for this problem
11. Human needs have increased 1. promote awareness among the
due to which natural habitats people by giving the importance
arebeing destroyed ofnatural habitats

12. pollutions 2. governments should make strict

policies in order to control
overexploitation of bio-
diversities.

Despite the fact that biodiversity and species have utmost importance in the world,
human beings are causing a massive damage to species and bio diversities.
Increased human needs for infrastructure and pollution are two burning reasons that
are leading to loss of biodiversity. This essay will investigate the approachable
solutions in upcoming paragraphs as well.

The first major reason behind the loss of biodiversity and species is that human needs have increased
due to which natural habitats are being destroyed. In other words, in present life style, humans are
always looking for improved infrastructure in form of new roads, railways and houses; therefore, they
need to clear more forests and agricultural land to fulfill their requirements. As a result of human
activities, thousands of aquatic animals, creatures and other species would lose natural habitats.
Another possible reason behind this is that different kinds of pollution such as water pollution, air
pollution is also contributing in worsening the situation more. These days, increased number of
factories are flowing a huge amount of polluted water which is being drained into the rivers and seas,
and that is causing significant harm to the marines and aquatic creatures as a consequence.

Despite the above-mentioned reasons, there are some possible measures that can be helpful to
overcome this problem. The primary way to control it can be governments should make strict policies
in order to control overexploitation of bio-diversities, which means if someone catches red-handedly
cutting trees and causing any damage to the creatures in form of hunting or killing should be punished
as strictly as possible. Finally, governing authorities should initiate awareness programs to promote
good information about the value of species and bio diversities. By this I mean, government should
start up environment related programs on television, and also make some subjects like environment
science compulsory for the students studying till secondary level of education so that they can be
aware about the importance of biodiversity.

In conclusion, no doubt, loss of biodiversity and species has become a serious issue of day
due to human activities; however, by campaigning through television channels and
introducing stringent policies for those who exploit biodiversity, this problem can be resolved
to a greater extent.

In modern times, the issue of scarcity of alternatives to energy resources has become highly
controversial. It is often said that every country around the world should focus on research
and progress of renewable fuels which are safe as well as cheaper. I completely agree that it
should be the first priority of every individual country worldwide.
Generally speaking, there are number of reasons why people believe that invention of safe
alternatives to the fossils should be the top priority. Perhaps the main reason why people are
in favor of this idea is that the ruthless exploitation of energy resources leads to destroying
our planet. As fossils are being used blindly in most of the human activities such as factories,
construction, agricultural work, it is expected that they are going to run out completely from
earth soon, which would leave this world under shortage of energy resources. However, in
my opinion, more research in advancement of solar panels can be a very good option to kill
the upcoming danger of fall of energy resources.

Another effective alternative would be to recycle our wastes to produce energy. For
example, Switzerland is one successful pioneer that produces nearly forty per cent of its
energy need from home wastes by processing them in sophisticated recycling centres, which
kills two birds with one stone, as nations can becomes neat clean as well as some
catastrophic diseases like malaria can also be curbed from being bred out. Finally, electric
cars and bikes can be very handy as a substitute of fossil fuels because they require only
one time investment and work for long duration.

In conclusion, shortage of global energy resources has become a heated topic worldwide;
however, I personally believe every individual nation must pay full attention to produce safe
and durable alternatives to the fossils on priority basis.
Some universities now offer their courses on the
Internet so that people can study online. Is this a
positive or negative development?
Positive negative
1 allow learners to study in a flexible way 1 there is less direct interaction.

2 cheaper

3 offers open access to anybody

It is often said that a huge number of online courses are being

offered by few universities in order to help students to continue their
studies. While I believe there are some drawbacks of internet-based
learning, I would say the benefits of this practice are higher in
numbers and effects.
The major drawback of this trend is that there is less interaction. In
other words, students may not be able to have a chance to do face-
to-face conversations with their peers and teachers, which can have
negative effects on their social relationships, whereas students who
join online classes mostly interact thorough online chatting or
written form of communications. However, in case of in-person
classes, majority of students gather in the cafes over the cup of a
tea and have group discussions on their studies, which not only
helps them to build strong friendly relationship, but also widens
their knowledge and ability.
Despite the above mentioned arguments, I believe online university
courses are a positive measure for some reasons. Firstly, it allows
learners to learn in a flexible way, which means users can attempt
training anywhere regardless of location and any time preference.
Secondly, online courses are always comparatively cheaper to in
person classes, and students can get advantage of similar benefits
under reduced cost. Finally, they also offer open access to each
and every one that means anybody who is interested to learn can
get access for the classes, does not matter what age or gender he
or she belongs to.
In conclusion, although internet-based learning brings some
disadvantages for the students, I recognise it is far more beneficial
for them.
Some people think that government investment in the arts, such as
music and theatre, is a useful thing, others, however, believes that
governments must invest the money in public services instead.

There are those who say that funding in form of artistic fields like musical
background and films is considered to be a positive thing by the
government, however; others advise that this investment should be on
other important public services such as improved health cares and
infrastructures. In this essay I will examine both side of the argument
and provide my overall opinion.

Generally speaking, there are two main reasons why people believe that
government must fund money in public sectors instead of arts. Perhaps
the main reason why people are in favor of this idea is that if governing
councils allocate a huge amount of money in providing advanced and
equipped hospitals, it will help to reduce mortality rate. For example,
availability of advanced CT scanners, ECGs and other diagnostic
equipment will definitely help patients to be detected at earlier stage for
any diseases, which in turn would save them from being died. Further
point in favor of this idea is that improved infrastructure such as
roads, railways and other transports would help the nation to overcome
problems like traffic and pollutions.
Despite these arguments, there is a case for the idea that money should
be invested on theatre and music for some reasons. Firstly, it helps to
stay alive our cultured things. In other word, government's investments
in cultural films and musical beats help people to remember past
happenings and historical events. Secondly, from entertainment's point
of view, investment in arts is very essential because life these days is
already very stressful and people are suffering from thousands of stress-
related diseases. Therefore, people believe spending in form of arts is
far more essential from government.

In conclusion, whether money should be spent on music and theatre or

public services has become a hotly debated issue. However, I personally
feel that both have equal importance and government must allocate
funds wisely on both types of fields.
Some people think that art is an essential subject for children at
school while others think it is a waste of time and other subjects
are more important.

At the present time, the population of some countries includes a relatively l

with the number of older people. What are the advantages and
disadvantages of this?

Benefits having moreYoung disadvantages having more young

people people
1 young people do not have
1 They have far more experience which can affect their
opportunities to implement employer's work
technological advances which in however, there is a downside in
turn form of less progress and slow
speed of wok
2 lower health budget and risk for
employers

In modern time, the population of some nations is having a huge number of youngsters in
comparison to the figures for elderly people. This essay would explain main benefits along
with few drawbacks of this trend in few words.

Generally speaking, there is few reasons why people believe that having a good amount of
adults in a country in comparison senior citizens have some limitations. Perhaps the main
the limitations of this idea is that most youngsters are inexperience which may affect
employer's work negatively. For example, when an inexperience person starts working in an
organisation, there are higher chances that he can make several blunders at the workplace.
As a result, it can affect company's quality and quantity of production adversely, whereas in
case of experienced staff, chances of mistakes and errors are negligible.

Despite the above-mentioned disadvantages, many believe a higher number of younger in a

country means more progress. The first major benefit of this trend is that today's youngsters
have a very strong command over using latest technological advances such as personal
computers, video projectors and many others which in turn offer increased efficiency,
accuracy and higher speed as compared to manual work done by older staff. Finally, by
appointing young ones at the workplaces, companies as well as a nation can reduce their
health budget in form of hospitals, medicines and medical staff as well as health insurance
of the employees because young generation fall sick less often in comparison to older ones.

In conclusion, although young persons are not much experienced in terms of work, yet there
are number of benefits if their number is higher as compared to senior citizens in a country
such as reduced health budget and good knowledge of technology.
Many museums charge for admission while others are free.
Do you think the advantages of charging people for admission to museums outweigh
the disadvantages?

advantages of charging admission disadvantages of charging

fee in museum admission fee in museum
1 museum's authorities can 1 it would be difficult for poor people
maintain repair and renovation from to afford
ticket collections.
2 it helps to pay salaries of the 2 many children and other
employees working in the museums interested people would avoid going
to museums

It is often said that a huge amount of money is charged by number of museums in form of
entry ticket, whereas others do not ask to pay. In my opinion, the benefits of charging
admission fee from visitors outweigh the disadvantages as authorities become capable of
maintaining repair cost as well as salaries of the staff.

Generally speaking, the first major advantage of charging museum fee is that museum's
authorities can maintain repair and renovation from ticket collections. In other words, when
visitors come to museums, there are higher chances that they can make some damage to
property, which require renovation and repair time to time. Therefore, if there is no collection
from travelers, it would be hard to maintain such expenses for the authorities. Another
supporting benefit is that it helps to pay salaries of the employees working in the museums
because most governing authorities are unwilling to fund such exhibitions and they are
providing services on their own.

Despite the above-mentioned benefits, there are some limitations as well. The primary
drawback of charging entrance fee from visitors is that many people belonging of lower
economic class would find hard to afford and they will lose opportunity to have such a
memorable experience of their lives. However, this is true for only few people who are
economically very weak and also uninterested even if they have money. Final drawback
could be many children and other interested age-groups may start losing their interest going
to museums. As they may feel that instead of visiting art galleries or exhibitions, they could
get more entertainment by visiting cinemas or clubs.

In conclusion, after weighing both sides, it seems to me that we gain more than what we lose
by charging entrance fee for museums.
These days, more and more business meetings and business
training are taking place online. Do the advantages of this
trend outweigh disadvantages?

In modern time, a higher number of virtual business interactions and training

sessions are being taken place worldwide. While some critics disapprove this
trend due to some reasons, I still believe the benefits of this trend outweigh its
limitations.

On the one hand, the first main benefit of conducting increased number of
business interactions and training sessions is that companies are no longer
required to invest money for face-to-face conferences which includes several
miscellaneous expenses such as flight tickets, accommodation and
refreshments for trainees. To exemplify it, large corporates including Reliance,
Tata, and HDFC had held virtual meetings during Corona Pandemic with their
employees working in several branches around the world. It not only saved
valuable money to be wasted in travelling by air or luxury cars, but also
protected them from this pandemic as well as saved their precious time.
Secondly, flexibility in attending sessions in terms of time and place choices for
the trainees is another marvellous advantage which seems impossible in case
of manual training and meetings.

On the other hand, low bandwidth of networks in some undeveloped

areas including bordering states is an undeniable drawback of this idea
which results lower effectiveness in spreading information at right place
and to the person. Due to security reasons, certain regions are restricted
for high-speed internet, resulting as a barrier for online meetings to be
conducted successfully. However, these areas are very limited in
numbers as governments and internet providers are collaboratively
working to solve this problem in short span of time in near future. Finally,
disparity in time-zones among various countries is another hampering
cause for making virtual interactions successful. Due to sleeplessness
at midnight, some users may not attend meetings attentively, eventually
affecting productivity and efficiency at work.

In conclusion, after weighing both sides of the aspect, it seems to me the

benefits of increasing number of online business sessions and training
outweigh its limitations.
Some parents buy their children whatever they ask for, and allow their
children to do whatever they want. Is thisa good way to raise children? What
consequences could this style of parenting have for children as they get
older?

It is true that in modern time, some guidance are overly permissive and
open- minded towards their children for doing whatever they wish to do.
In my opinion, this parenting style is not good, and it can have a range of
adverse consequences as they grow up.

I personally believe that a certain amount of control and discipline is

essential in order to bring up respectful and well-behaved children. As if
there is no control from the parents on their wards, they may become
stubborn and self-cantered when they get older. For example, children
who are brought up with lenient parenting style often develop sick
behaviour towards their parents in earlier ages, which later on become
difficult for parents to control, and most of them become victim of
materialism and selfishness. In contrast, parents who have greater
control over their children in term of freedom are often more successful
in rising well-civilised off springs in comparison.

The children with indulgent or lenient parenting style are more likely to
grow up with several negative traits. Firstly, there are higher chances
that they can involve in criminal activities such as smuggling, drug-
peddling and many others because of lack of involvement of parents in
earlier stages of their lives. Secondly, their poor behaviour towards
society would become a barrier in working in teams with low confidence
when they start employment in an organisation. Finally, they will unwise
in financial decision making as well as other social decisions because
they would never ever have understood value of responsibility and
accountability.

In conclusion, I personally feel that lenient parenting style offers a range

of negative impacts on children's behaviour, and there should be proper
control of parents in earlier stage of lives of the children in order to
develop them as well civilised and respectful persons.
Nowadays the crime rate is increasing, especially among teenagers.
What are the reasons behind it?
How can we reverse this trend?
What punishment methods should we use?

One of the most topical issues in modern society is juvenile delinquency is up

surging at alarming rate. There are ample of reasons behind this trend such as poor
education system and bad impact of increased number of entertaining sources.
However, this essay would offer some appropriate solutions along with the right way
of punishment.

The biggest reason behind increasing crime rate among youngsters is poor
education standard of the countries. In other words, it is often seen in most
educational institutes that they highly emphasize on the academic studies instead of
teaching ethical or moral values to the students, which as result, lead them to
become spoiled brats as in the teenage. Another burning reason could be higher
amount of amusement resources available for the children, with which they are
inspired to commit crime.

Nevertheless, the best possible solution to overcome this problem is that there should
be reforms in the education system of the countries especially Asian nations, where
crime level is peaking. I mean one particular subject, which is based on ethical and
moral values, should be imposed strictly from primary level of education to
secondary education in every learning institute.
Additionally, a lecture which contains the consequences of post crime situation
should also be delivered on regular basis so that students can feelthe fear of
committing crime.

Although imposing physical penalty to the children is unfair in many countries, yet
somehow it is essential for them to teach not to be involved in the criminal activities.
I believe constructive punishment is better option than punishing them physically.
For example, if someone, who is between 13 and 19, does any illegal activity in
countries like Singapore, he or she is ordered to plant 100 trees as punishment. As
a result, he develops himself positively instead ofbecoming a serious criminal in
future.

In conclusion, unfair education system and overly increased availability of

entertaining gadgets are main causes for increased level of crime among
youngsters. However, by charging constructive penalty and improving ways of
education, this serious problem can be resolved.

Experts claim that learning a new language is much easier for children thanadults.
Why do some people hold this view? What solutions are there to make language
learning easier for adults?
Nations should spend more money on skills and
vocational training for practical work, rather than on
university education.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Agree Disagree
1 financial benefits 1 possible for them to explore a
variety of fields.
2 Employment
2 White-collar jobs

In modern times the issue of spending money on education has become highly controversial.
It is often said that a good amount of money should be spent on skills and vocational training
instead of tertiary education by countries. I partly agree with given notion and will support my
arguments in further paragraphs.

Generally speaking, there are two reasons why people believe that spending money on skills
and vocational training is beneficial rather than university education. Perhaps the main
reason why people are in favor of this idea is because it provides financial benefit to the
users in comparison to university courses. For example, if a student joins vocational course
like electrician, plumber, he has to spend hardly 30000-40000, while to complete a diploma
from a university, it requires 3-4 lakhs. Further point in favor of investing more money in
vocational training courses is good opportunity for employment. As a result of completing
vocational courses, a person can start his own work without looking for any job.

Despite these arguments, there is a case for the idea that university education is far more
beneficial for many for some reasons. Firstly, with university education it is possible to
explore a variety of fields. In other words, once someone completes his tertiary education,
there are a wide range of doors opened for him, irrespective of not getting jobs in a particular
field. Secondly, there is plethora of vacancies for higher ranks, for which a university degree
is must to become eligible. For example, to apply for a post of teacher, doctor, police officer
and many other higher authorities, a person should be graduated or post graduated from a
reputed university. Therefore, government must allocate funds on university education.

In conclusion, it must be said that investing more money on vocational than university
education has become a complex issue with no easy solution. My personal view is that both
are equally important and every nation should invest money in vocational training and skills
where people are poor, and also on university education for providing white collar job
opportunities for well qualified people.
Most people agree that money cannot be happiness. Why is happiness difficult to
define? How can people achievehappiness?

It is often thought by many that having a lot of money cannot bring gladness in a
person's life. Since there are a wide range of factors behind happiness, it is very hard to
explain it from an individual's perspective. There are plethora of ways through which a
person can achieve happiness.
Generally speaking, happiness is very subjective feeling, which makes it difficult to
define. Firstly, happiness completely depends upon the individual's self-satisfaction,
which means being satisfied from something leads to feel happy. For example, when
a child is given variety of sweet foods such as chocolates, biscuits or cookies, he
feels very happy, while his parents would feel no happiness knowing the fact
that it is extremely harmful for the teeth. Secondly, happiness also depends
upon the need of the person as there are certain products which may have
greater value for a particular person, while for others they might be useless.

However, there are certain numbers of factors which can offer happiness to a
person. Perhaps one of the leading factors may be volunteering work. In other
words, volunteering contribution from some professionals such as social
workers, doctors and NGOs to the society are the best examples who feel
happy even without getting money. Another possible factor behind a person's
gladness is support from family and good health. Sometimes people who are
financially well off often become victim of homesickness or loneliness because
they have no one to share their achievements of life. As a result, most of such
type of people fall sick and victim of diseases like depression, insomnia.

In conclusion, due to various important factors behind being happy, it is right

to say that defining happiness is a herculean task. Meanwhile, specific points
such as volunteering, family and sound health are most common ones behind
a person's happiness.
Completing university education is thought by some to be the best
way to get a job. On the other hand, other people think that getting
experience and developing soft skills is more important.
Discuss both points and give your opinion.

Whether gaining university education or experience and developing soft skills

to get a job is more important has become a highly controversial issue in the
society. This essay will explain both viewpoints in detail and I will give my
personal view in further paragraphs.

On the one hand, there are certain employments where higher academic
qualification is required to be eligible for the post. In other words, it seems
impossible to get higher rank jobs in any nation around the world without a
sound higher academic education. For example, minimum qualification to be
eligible for an IPS officer in India is post-graduation, which indicates that
higher level authorities' jobs are only possible with good qualification. In
addition to this, higher level of education also takes a person to get white-
collar employment, where he or she not only gets deserving respect from the
society, but also becomes eligible for handsome salary.

On the other hand, many opponents are having a view point that practical
experience and effective communication skills play more crucial role to get
employment. What they mean by that is if someone gains practical knowledge
to do a particular work after completing higher or secondary level of education,
he or she can initiate personal business or work without wasting time, money
and energy to beg for jobs after tertiary education. This is advisable because
unemployment rates amongst developing nations has reached peak for well
educated people. Personally, one of my cousins, who learnt cooking skills
when he turned 18, is earning an abundant amount of money from his own
business, while elder his brother, who is post-graduate in science, is still
unemployed.

In conclusion, choosing right option from gaining higher qualification or

experience and communication skills to get a work is a debatable topic
in modern society; however, in my personal opinion, it entirely depends
upon the employment category whether it is academic or practical.
An increasing concern for many people around the world is employment.
There are those who say that tertiary education is essential for getting
employment, however; others believe that it is indispensible to gain good
experience of work as well as to develop communication skills. This
essay will examine both side of the argument and provide an overall
opinion

An increasing concern for many people around the world is employment.

Whether finishing tertiary education is essential or gaining experience of
work as well as development of communication skill to get employment
has always been a debatable topic. This essay will examine both side of
the argument and provide an overall opinion

In conclusion, it must be said that getting work after university study or

by developing soft skills and experience has become a complex issue
with no easy solution. Having considered both sides of issue, I would
argue that depending upon the job category, if jobs are academic,
university education is essential, otherwise practical experience and
other skills can be more valuable.
Some people say that supermarkets and manufacturers have a
responsibility to reduce the amount of packaging on products
they sell. Others believe that it is the consumer’s responsibility
to avoid buying products which have a lot of packaging.
Discuss both views and give your opinions.

In modern times, the issue of controlling cost of packaging of consumer

goods has become highly controversial. Whether supermarkets and
manufacturers should be responsible for mitigating the
packaging cost or it is the accountability of the consumers has
always been a hotly debatable issue.

In conclusion, it must be said that expense of packaging goods has

become a complex issue with no easy solution. Having considered both
sides of issue, i would argue that manufacturers and producers should
be made responsible for controlling the price included in packaging of
products because they gain profit from consumer.
Although families have influence on a children’s development,
factors outside the home play a bigger part in their lives
nowadays.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?

These days, more and more children are being brought under various
circumstances. Admittedly, most of the development of children is
influenced by their families, but other factors such as friend circle,
educational institute and many others also play essential role in the
development. I completely agree with the opinion that external factors
contribute a lot in the development of a child along with the influence of
family.

In conclusion, in my opinion, both families as well as outer factors such

as selection of right institute for academic studies and friends equally
contribute in the overall development of a child.
More and more people today are buying and driving cars
which has a positive impact for the economy but can hurt the
environment.
Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?
Advantages Disadvantages

1 Car manufacturing companies 1 Pollution

are entitled to earn lot of money
2 Traffic
2 Government can impose a
higher amount of taxes 3 Debt is increasing

3 Increase the sale of fossil

fuels

It is true that an increasing number of people are interested to buy and drive cars that
influences the economy of a country as well as it can put a severe damage to the
atmosphere. In my opinion, the drawbacks of this phenomenon always outweigh its benefits,
which I would prove in next paragraphs.
On the one hand, the first major drawback from buying and driving cars is that they produce
enormous amount of toxic fumes, which can cause severe damage not only to the health of
the people, but also to the flora and fauna. Another possible limitation is that increasing
number of cars on the roads can create unwanted traffic congestion, especially, in the
metropolitan cities, where already people are living under suffocation and less spacious
houses. Also, availability of easy loan for cars is leading the citizens towards more debt that
can further lead to commit suicide or die of depression.

Despite the above mentioned limitations, there are some possible benefits for this practice.
Perhaps the first one is that car manufacturing companies are entitled to earn abundant
amount of profit from the sale of cars, which can improve the standard of living as well as to
further widen their business across the world. However, some of the car manufacturers
failed because they were unable to return the debts that they obtained from the banks to
increase the sale due to some unfair reasons. Second advantage can be for the
government which can levy plenty of taxes in form of sale tax, vat and gst on luxury cars
such as Audi, Mustang and Range Rover. Nevertheless, it can be injustice for those who
belong to upper class families because lower standard cars such Maruti Suzuki swift, Alto
are entitled to levy lesser taxes in comparison.

In conclusion, having considered both aspects, I would argue we lose more than what we
gain from increasing number of buying and running cars.
These days some people spend a lot of money on tickets to go to
sporting or cultural events. Do you think this is a positive or
negative development?
positive aspects negative aspects
1 good source of income 1 waste of money and money can
be utilised somewhere else

2 helps to aware the younger 2 waste of precious time

generation about the customs and
rituals

3 the best way for entertainment

In modern time, more and more people are showing a great interest in sports and cultural
activities. It is true that in present span of time, a huge amount of money is spent by some
people to buy tickets to attend sporting and cultural programs. I believe this is a complete
positive development as it entertains the people as well as increases the income.
The major supporting point why I believe investing money to attend sporting and cultural
events is useful is that it is the best way for entertainment for many people around the world.
As today's life style has become so hectic and stressful due high work pressure and
anxieties, people find it the best alternate to escape their pressures and worries of their lives.
This may be the best stress busting activity for them.

Another positive aspect is that it helps to aware the younger generation about the past
customs and rituals of their culture. A case in the point is that when local bodies or cultural
authorities organise some events like state level dance competitions, heritage fairs, younger
generation get golden opportunities to participate. As a result, they come to know about their
rich cultures which they may be forgetting due to busy life style.

Finally, undoubtedly, it is a major source of revenue for the organisers as well as for the
government. For an instance, sporting events such as Fifa football world cup, Ipl and
Olympics generate billions of dollars as a source of income as well as thousands of jobs for
the people. Obviously, it is also interconnected with tourism and hospitality which contribute
a lot to the economy boost of a nation in turn.

In conclusion, I personally feel devoting money to attempt sporting events and

cultural festivals is entirely a positive development as it boosts economy and
keeps the people entertaining from under stressed life style.
People are becoming too dependent on the Internet and phone.
Is it a positive or negative development?
One long-distance flight consumes fuel which a car uses in several
years' time, but they cause same amount of pollution. So, some
people think that we should discourage non-essential flights, such
as a tourist travel, rather than to limit the use of cars. To what
extent do you agreeor disagree?
agree disagree
1 international tourism industry will
be hit severely
2 will be a strong setback for
international cultural exchange

t is undeniable that the amount of fuel consumed by a long-distance aircraft is similar to the fuel used
by a car in the duration of various years, however, they emit equal rate of pollution. Therefore, it
isthought that non-important flights should be discouraged like for tourism instead of limiting the use
of cars. I completely disagree with the given notion and believe all international flights are very
essential.

Generally speaking, there are two main reasons I personally believe non-essential flights should not
be banned. Perhaps the main reason behind this idea is that international tourism industry will be
destroyed severely if flights for tourism are prohibited. In other words, international tourists always
book hotels for living in other countries, and as a result of a ban on international flights, they would not
be able to travel overseas for leisure, which, in turn, would also lead some dire consequences for
other sectors associated with it such as closure of hotels, unemployment and a considerable damage
to the local markets.

Another possible reason for favoring the idea of not discouraging the non-essential aircrafts is that if
there is a complete a ban on these flights, there would a huge setback for international cultural
exchange. By this I mean, when people visit one country to another country for tourism purpose, they
explore new culture, new societies and also experience a wide range of other customs and rituals of
that nation. It not helps them to understand other culture, but also people learn to respect and follow
the rituals in their own culture. However, by applying a complete ban on non-discretionary flights for
tourism, feeling of hostile and disrespect will burgeon across the world.

In conclusion, I personally feel that imposing a complete ban on international flights is not any
straightforward solution for curbing pollution in the environment as it can cause severe damage to
tourism industry. Instead, government must take strict actions in order to control traffic and pollution
emitted by end number of cars available worldwide.
In the developed world, average life expectancy is increasing.

What problems will this cause for individuals and society?

Suggest some measures that could be taken to reduce the impact of ageing
populations.

negative impact of long life for Measures to reduce the impact of

individual and socitey aged population

1 the budget that governments must provide 1 extend retirement age standard
for the retirement fund and medical care 2more resources like money and manpower
automatically rises should be used to keep older people on feet.
3 provide a subsidy for the young people
2 demand for the housing rise and when they plan to buy a house.
consequently increase the price of
properties, which would be a problem for the
young people.

In this modern world, it is expected that life duration of an average person will increase. It will
certainly increase the health budget of the governments as well as the demand for new
houses. This essay would also offer some approachable measures to tackle these problems
for society.

The first major problem that can occurs form increasing number of elderly people is that the
budget that governments must provide for the retirement fund and medical care automatically rises.
In other words, old people require more assistance for regular check-ups of their health to get away
from serious diseases. Therefore, governing authorities have to offer well-equipped hospitals as well
as professional care takers on cheaper rates, which increase the burden of the government. Another
possible problem is that demands for the housing rise. Consequently, it increases the price of
properties, which in turn, would be a problem for the young people for finding accommodations on
affordable prices.

Despite the above mentioned problems, there are several positive steps that can assist to overcome.
Perhaps the main solution is that governments should extend retirement age standard which means if
retirement age is 55 years, it should be extended to 65 years. Also, government should encourage
their citizens to invest in retirement schemes in younger age which could shelter them at the later
stages of lives. Finally, government must subsidise new houses for young people so that they can
afford expensive accommodations when they need it, regardless the demand from old people for
houses increased.

In conclusion, no doubt, increasing life expectancy of people in foreseeable time would lead to
numerous issues for individuals and society, yet by increasing standards for retirement age and
providing suitable retirement plans, these issues can be curbed to a great extent.
The internet has transformed the way information is shared and consumed,
but it has also created problems that did not exist before.

The circular charts compare the ratio of electricity that was produced by
using all sources and renewables in Germany and France by 2009.
In detail, Germany produced 560 billion kwh of total electricity units in
comparison to France that could produce only 510 billion kwh in 2009.
Germany was mostly depended on conventional thermal for electricity
generation that accounted for 59.6% (the highest), whereas France
consumed the largest ratio of nuclear which stood at 76%. Nearly a
quarter of the total energy sources came from nuclear power for power
production, and 17.4% from renewables in Germany. However, 10.3%
and13.7% of the total resources was consumed from conventional
thermal and renewables by France for the electricity which was
produced.

Turning to the classification of renewables, biomass and wind are top

two renewables for Germany, which consisted of 39.3% and 36.9%
respectively. However, only above 6% was contributed from solar.
France had reported a contrasting pattern, where hydroelectric made up
over 80% in contribution for total renewables, with wind (10.5%),
biomass ( 8.1%) and solar the least at 0.9%.

Overall, it is clear from the charts that conventional thermal for Germany
and nuclear power for France was the leading sources of power
generation in 2009.

1. Spoken communication is always more powerful thanwritten
communication. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It has been suggested that communication which is done through

writings is always weaker than spoken interaction. I completely
disagree with given notion because written interaction is
always required in formal interactions which seems impossible
in case of spoken, and will support my arguments in further
paragraphs.

Generally speaking, there are two main reasons why I believe

that written communication has more power than spoken
language. Perhaps the main reason why I am in favor of this
idea is that written communication is power tool for an ordinary
person to present his feelings or thoughts on a particular issue
in front of higher authorities. For example, farmers as well as
ordinary people from all over India are protesting against ruling
government for the three agricultural bills which has been
implemented by government recently. However, it is impossible
for an ordinary person to speak against government
individually. So, the best way to raise their voice would be
written communication through letters.

Further point in favor of the idea that spoken communication is

less powerful than written communication is that

Conclusion, in my personal perspective, interaction through

writing is undeniably stronger than spoken communication as it is
helpful for an ordinary class of person to raise his voice in front of
senior levels.
1. Since most information about culture and history can be found online,
museums are no longer needed. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Scientists believe that in order to protect the environment, peoplemust use

less energy in their daily lives. However, most people have not changed the
way they live.
Why do you think many people have not taken individual action? What could
be done to encourage them to take action?

Although scientists had thought that reducing the consumption of energy is better way
to give protection the environment and atmosphere, yet it is seen that majority of
individuals have ignored their suggestion and not changed their life-style. Lack of
awareness and being more habitual of comforts are two major reasons for this, and this
essay would also investigate approachable solutions for this in further paragraphs.

Generally speaking, there are two main reasons why people believe that many people
have not taken individual action to protect the environment with the
suggestions of scientists. Perhaps the main reason for this is that they have
fallen short of awareness and understanding the value of reduction of energy
sources. In other words, governing authorities as well as educational
institutes have failed to make the people understand the value of
environment related issues, which in turn means, most people have fail to take
such issues as moral responsibility to solve.
Another possible reason is that people are addicted to luxurious life which
includes luxury cars, air conditioners, heaters which consume the lion's share
of energy. Instead of controlling the people, science is offering more
innovative inventions for more comforts, which is worsening the situation further.

Despite the above mentioned reasons, there are several positive measures that
can be helpful to encourage them to take actions. Firstly, government should
start up some awareness programs in form of short plays, films which are
based on environment related issues. Also, environment subject should be
compulsory for students from primary to tertiary level of education so that
importance of environment could be transmitted properly. Finally, government
should introduce higher taxation policies on consumer goods like air
conditioner, heaters, which would definitely affect affordability of an ordinary
person. As a result of less used comfort-related items, a huge amount of energy
would be saved.
In conclusion, regardless the ideas that scientists have explained that less use of
energy means much safer environment, due to lack of awareness and being
more reliability on luxurious
things, people fail to take responsibility for safer environment. However, by making
environment subject compulsory in schools, we can overcome this problem to a great
extent.
It is better for young people to get advice from old people than
young ones. To what extent do you agree or disagree
Agree Disagree
1 Old people are superstitious and
1 old people have life experiences narrow minded

2 knows better about their children 2 younger can give advice

than any others according to the current
circumstances.

It has been suggested that taking a piece of advice from seniors for young people is
favourable instead of less aged people. While I admit that suggestions from elderly are
useful to some extent, it is also true that they are not always appropriate.

On the one hand, there are several situations in less old people's life, where they
approach their grandparents or parents for better suggestions for some reasons. The
first reason for this idea is that old people had had experiences which become life-
lessons for their offspring. In other words, they had seen plethora of ups and downs in
their lives; therefore, in making crucial decisions such as marriage, behaving in the
society, young people always find them as helping hands Secondly, when adults make
any mistake in their life, they always meet their senior family members on the priority
basis because they know better about their offspring than any others.

On the other hand, elderly people are more superstitious and narrow-minded, which
lead to generation gap and results in controversies and differences in the views of old
and Youngers. For example, my grandmother, who is above 80s, has narrow view for
women, which means, she still believes that women should participate only in
household chores instead of contributing in earnings. . However, my ideology differs
than my grandmother's. Finally, in this modern era, there are several types of
circumstances and situations, where majority of seniors fail to advise the youngsters'
right way. To illustrate, an old person cannot help making a right choice if someone
wants to buy new laptop or computer as he may not have sufficient knowledge or
information about modern software and devices.

In conclusion, no doubt, over aged people can use their valuable experience to suggest
the young people in right direction; however, due to their out-dated ideology and
differences in views, many youngsters' find it useless.
In many countries, visitors to art galleries have beendeclining steadily.
What are the reasons for this?
What could be done to improve this development?
reasons solutions
1 busy life style 1 awareness through
2 lack of awareness different platforms

2 should offer cheaper ticketsor free

visits

It is certainly true that in majority of countries of the world, art galleries are
witnessing a decreasing number of travellers constantly. While busy life-style
and lack of awareness are two major reasons behind this, there are certain
solutions to this problem which would be described in further paragraphs.

Generally speaking, there are two main reasons why people believe that there is a
noticeable drop in the amount of visitors to the art galleries. Perhaps the main reason
why people are in favor of this idea is because people have busy life-style as
majority are engaged in different works to raise money in this materialistic world.
They consider visiting to art galleries as a complete waste of money instead they
choose to invest it in other entertaining activities such as cinemas or sports. Another
possible reason behind this is lack of awareness about the importance of museums,
which means educational institutes, schools and even parent have failed to make
their children understand their values.
Despite these reasons, there are several possible measures that can be taken to
solve this issue. Firstly, art galleries should offer lower priced tickets in order to
attract more visitors and even offer free of cost if they could afford on special days or
weekends. As a result, people's curiosity towards museums would definitely
increase. Finally, along with making museums and art galleries digitalized,
government must start up some awareness programs through which importance and
value of such places could be made understand to upcoming generation.

In conclusion, certainly, decreasing number of tourists to the art places is a serious

matter of worry for countries; however, by offering affordable tickets and making the
people aware through different platforms, this problem can be resolved to a greater
extent.
Some people prefer to work in the same type of job throughout their
lifetime while others like to change the type of job they do. Discuss both
views and give your opinion.

People doing same job people change jobs

1 Government jobs 1 not satisfied from employer in
2 people become eligible for terms of salary or environment.
pensions and retirement 2 want to gain new experience
schemes and innovative ideas.
3 do not want to take risk

Whether people ought to stick with one employer for whole life or keep on changing
their employment on regular basis has become a highly controversial issue in the
modern era. This essay would investigate both views in detail and I will provide my
opinion at the last.

Generally speaking, there are a wide range of reasons whypeople are interested to
be involved in only one employment throughout their life. Perhaps the main
reason why people support this idea is that majority of them are employed in
government jobs, which ensures higher job security and other supporting benefits at
later stages of their lives.
For example, people who are employed in national securities such as border security
force, police become entitle to receive benefits from government in form of
pensions, gratuity, provident fund and free medical facilities.
Another supporting idea is that people of such supporting ideology never ever want to
take risk of losing jobs. In other words, they believe that if once they left the job, they
can face abundant difficulties to findnew one later.
Despite the above mentioned arguments, there are those who believe switching
employment is better choice because of some fruitful reasons. First of all, they feel
dissatisfied from their employers in terms of salaries or circumstances under what they
work. They are always undervalued and discriminated in terms of skills, religion, gender
and casts. Finally, some aspirants (workers) are always willing to improve their skills
and they feel motivated in order to do. So, switching employment is better option rather
stayingpermanent with only one work for whole life span.

In conclusion, it must be said that above mentioned issue has become a complex issue
with no easy solution. Having discussed both sides of the views, I came to the conclusion
that job switching is better choice as it improves someone's new ideas and experience
rather staying with one employment for whole life.
Nowadays young people lack an understanding of how to
manage their finances after they finish high school.
Explain why they do not know how to manage money and
how this can be changed.
It is certainly true that even after completing basic education, most
youngsters show their inability to tackle finance-related matters in
present time. This is happening due to their lack of involvement in
financial matters as well as schools are not choosing finance as a
compulsory subject. This essay would also explain some reasonable
solutions in further paragraph. This essay would identify some
reasons behind this phenomenon along with approachable measures
in further paragraphs.
Generally speaking, there are two major reasons why young ones are
not able to manage money once they complete their studies. Perhaps
the key reason behind this idea is that majority of parents do not allow
their children to be involved in any financial matters in younger age.
As a result, most adults feel no confidence to do money management
more effectively. Another possible reason for this issue is that
academic institutions such as schools, colleges and universities
emphasise more on other subjects like science and history instead
of financial management, which also contribute more to worsen the
situation [Link], educational institutions are also
responsiblefor this issue.

Despite the reasons mentioned above, there are certain measures that
can help to overcome this issue. Firstly, this is the prime responsibility
ofparents to get their children involved in money related matters once
theyfinish their primary level of education.
In other words, involvement in financial matters such as shopping
from market independently, making financial transactions using debit
or credit cards would obviously offer a huge confidence to them until
they start earning. Finally, all the educational institutes must add
finance as a compulsory subject in their curriculum from primary to
secondary level of education, which would help scholars gaining skills
associated with money in their earlier age.
In conclusion, no doubt, money management seems hard for those
who recently graduated; however, by involving children in financial
works by parents and making finance an essential subject in schools,
this problem can be resolved to a greatextent.
In many countries, international tourism has become an
important source of income. However, it also has negative
effects. Do the benefits of international tourism outweigh
the disadvantages?

In most nations, although increasing number of international

tourists brings a significant amount of financial benefits, there are
some drawbacks as well. While I understand that critics may
disapprove the idea of exposure of international tourism, I believe the
benefits certainly outweigh its limitations.

On the one hand, the first obvious benefit that comes from
international arrivals is employment. When more travellers from
overseas would visit in a country, more people will be required to
offer them services in form of warm hospitality, which means, tourists
need accommodation, eatables and souvenirs while exploring that
nation. As a result of this, local people get golden opportunity to be
employed in hospitality sector. Another possible advantage for host
country would be to achieve good growth economically. In other
words, more money levied from tourists by local people means higher
taxation that they would pay to government, which, ultimately, makes
host country economically more sound and healthy.
On the other hand, there are several drawbacks of overly developed
international tourism for a country. Firstly, it is highly likely that
suspicious activities including smuggling, drug-peddling will increase
because international tourists will get enough time to share important
secrets with locals. Secondly, to accommodate increasing amount of
overseas visitors, more agricultural land would be de-graded to
construct new hotels, parks and other recreational facilities.
Therefore, fertile land would be unproductive to be used for
agriculture. However, due to increased security measures such as
surveillance under cameras, scanners universally and sky scrapper
buildings, the above mentioneddrawbacks seem to less effective.

In conclusion, after weighing both sides of what they lose from global
tourism.
Some people believe that eventually all jobs will be done by
artificially intelligent robots. To what extent do you agree
or disagree?

It has been suggested that

artificially intelligent robots will perform in all occupations in future. While
I feel some jobs will be replaced by robotic development, in others,
however, human's presencewould be essential.

On the one hand, jobs mainly focused on labour can definitely be

substituted by robots in futuristic time. To be more précised, in agricultural
work, most of tasks, these days, have been replaced by technological
machines such as Tractors, Combines and Seed drills already, and this
trend is expected to increase in upcoming time as well. Another example
of employment, where robotic machines have been deployed instead of
people, is banking sector. In other words, around a decade ago, majority of
clerical works such as monetary transactions were done by clerks and
mangers; however, since the automatic teller machines have been
introduced in banking sectors, bankingtransactions not only have faster but
alsomore accurate.

On the other hand, there are certain areas where it seems impossible
that robots may replace human beings such as education, research and
psychology. To exemplify, no doubt, smart classes and projectors have
been used to make education more effective and easier, yet up to
primary level of education, emotions and feelings are more crucial for
a child to get motivated, where robots seem helpless. In addition, in
the fields of psychology and scientific research, human's brain is
everything, where machines cannot think or feel like people to step
forward. So, robots cannever replace such important areas in future.
In conclusion, it can be concluded that robotic machines can overtake
some fields in future, but in other areas such as education and research, it
is worthless to thinkthat they can be the substitute of humans.
In some countries, an increasing number of people are suffering
from health problems asa result of eating too much fast food.
It istherefore necessary for governments to impose a higher tax on
this kind of food.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It has been suggested that it is essential for governments of some

countries to charge a higher amount of tariff on fast-food consumption
because majority of individuals are increasing in health issues. I
strongly believe this is aneffective solution for this burning issue.

Admittedly, a higher rate of taxes means less chances of affordability for

an ordinary person. In other words, if governing authorities of some
countries apply an increasing rate of taxes on junk food, the people who
are habitual of eating it regularly, especially, teenagers and middle-class
people, would find it hard to afford. As a result of this, the diseases that
they suffer from eating such meals can be avoided to a great extent.
Japan would be the best example to mention here, where higher tariff
was imposed on food from market in 2010 according to the reports. As a
consequence, people of that nation improved in health-related issues
such as obesity and cardiac-arrest, which they were suffering from earlier
and shifted to higher rank in terms of health nations worldwide.

Besides this, the money that has been levied in form of taxes by the
government can be utilised to make the people aware about the dire
consequences of over eating outdoor meals. I mean governments can
start up awarenesscampaigns and seminars in academic institutions and
public places like museums and parks. Government can also invest
money for socialists who can write health related articles in magazines
and newspapers to teach the people about the detrimental effects of
regular intake of fast food. Therefore, it is worthwhile to collect more
taxes on fast food from the citizens to protect them from illnesses, being
caused from this type of food.

In conclusion, no doubt, health issues around the world are increasing

because of over consumption of takeaway meal, however; charging
more taxes from citizens for this, can definitely be a strong
solution to overcome thisproblem.
Students are becoming more and more reliant on the Internet. While

the Internet is convenient it has many negative effects and its use for

educational purposes should be restricted.

These days, more and more Students are becoming dependent on use
of internet for education. Although internet is more convenient, its
negative aspects cannot be ignored. Therefore, I personally feel that it
should not be used by students for the purpose of education.

Generally speaking, there are number of reasons why I believe that the
use of internet for educational purposes should be restricted. Perhaps the
main reason why I support this idea is because majority of students
misuse internet while they are studying. When students study online,
they receive different kinds of messages from social media applications
such as facebook, instagram and whatsapp. As a result, they get
distracted from their education.
It is true that, in modern times, people have become victim of poor
eating habits and are unable to take care of balanced diet. This is
happening due to busy life style and more and more advertisements
based on unhealthy food in the market. This essay would also
investigate some useful solutions to this problem.

Generally speaking, there are two main reasons why people have
developed poor eating habits and do not eat balanced diet. Perhaps the
main reason for this bad habit is that people, in modern time, have
engaged in workaholic life and they do not have time to prepare home-
made food. As a result of this, most people buy food from market, which
is unhealthy and oily that breeds numerous illnesses. Another reason for
this issue is that end number of eatables is marketed on different media
platforms, which are unhealthy. Consequently, it is obvious that more
and more people would get attracted towards ready-made food.
Despite the above mentioned reasons, there are some useful measures that can be
taken to solve this problem. Firstly, government should charge higher taxes on the
food which is easily available in the market, which in turn, it will be unaffordable for
an ordinary person. As a result, people will avoid marketed food and will start making
food at homes. Finally, government must put a ban on commercial ads which are
based on unhealthy food. If this kind of advertisements is banned, people will
definitely follow balanced diet that would be beneficial for them.

In conclusion, no doubt, modern people have become habitual of bad eating habits
and avoid balanced food. However, by charging higher taxes on the food from
market and banning unhealthy food related advertisements, this issue can be solved
to a great extent
Today, the number of elders is increasing in many societies. Do the advantages
outweigh the disadvantages of this trend?

How the positive aspects of the elders outweigh the negative impacts?

It is certainly true that in present societies, the people who are getting older are
enormously inclining. This essay will explain how the benefits of having higher
number of elderly outweigh its drawbacks.

The primary benefit of having higher amount of senior citizens for the communities is
that younger generation can utilize their valuable experiences that they gained
throughout their lives. This means, when adults spend some time with their seniors
on daily basis, they can learn moral values and practical lessons from them in order
to be well civilized persons in the societies. Although there are some chances of
spreading infectious diseases from elders to others, yet their contribution in terms of
having useful suggestions, and past life experiences for younger generation is
worthwhile.
Another limitation of more and more elders increasing in societies is that health
budget of government increases in order to provide them protection from
pandemics or catastrophic diseases. Government's expenditures on more scanning
medical advances as well as in medicines also rise up. However, in this busy and
stressful lifestyle, majority of parents give higher preference to earning money
instead of giving time to their children. As a result, most children are developing sick
behavior as well as becoming spoiled brats. Therefore, in such a hectic life style,
elder's role in taking care of children as teaching them moral and ethical values is
really appreciable. Even government has to hike its health budget little bit, yet the
value of elder ones in the family for children has become apparently important for
every nation.

In conclusion, there are some undeniable negatives for some countries to have
increasing number of elders, yet their roles for younger generation in terms of their
past experiences and in giving contribution as a good care taker seems higher in
rank.
Art is considered as an important part of society as well as an
expression of its culture. Do you think it is important for
children to be taught art? Do you think children should be
encouraged to focus on art rather than other subjects?

It has been suggested art is not only essential part of different

communities but also connects people with their rich heritage and
culture. In my opinion, art subject is definitely important part of children's
education, but it does not mean it should be given more focus rather
other academic subjects.

It is undeniable that there are certain children who are born with
some hidden talents, but they are weak in their academics in
comparison to their peers in the class. Thus, art is subject which gives
them opportunity to enhance their god gifted skills. If all the academic
institutions up to secondary level make this subject compulsory in their
curriculum, the children who are interested in artistic skills would get
golden chance to improve their hidden skills to establish their career as
an artist, which they would have missed if they do not get this
opportunity. Therefore, I believe this is a valuable subject for the
children.

However, I feel that it would be wrong to say that studentsmust pay more
attention towards art as compared to other academics for some reasons.
Firstly, overall development of personality of a person is also very
essential which seems impossible with learning other academic subjects
such as maths, social science and science. For example, there are
worldwide popular artists who are undervalued because of beings less
efficient in education, although they have extra ordinary skills. Finally, it
would be injustice to those who do not have interest in art related
subject, if teachers emphasise more on art subject rather others, which
would end up with failure and being bored.

In conclusion, undoubtedly, artistic subjects have utmost importance in

children's life to improve their hidden skills. However, in my personal
persuasion, it should not be given more weightage than other subjects in
school.
Nowadays, people research their family history, some people say
this is useless and we should instead focus on present and future
generation. Share your opinion. Do the advantages outweigh the
disadvantages?

There has always been a curiosity to know about the history and past of the
families by young generation in present time. However, it is often argued by
many that it seems no use to research history and we should utilise time to
plan present and future generations. I personally support the latter view and
believe the demerits outweigh merits in this case.

On the one hand, children are always curious to know the history of their ancestors
because from past history, they can acknowledge their family traditions as well their
customs. In other words, they get familiar with the ideas that how their ancestors
survived and what type of life style they had. Secondly, there are certain diseases
which keep on passing from one generation to other and if present generation is
well aware about the pandemics in time, by taking precautionary measures in time,
the threat can be reduced to a great extent. For example, one of my friends had been
protected from potential cancer because he was well aware about this threat in
earlier age as his grandmother and mother died of this historical disease earlier.

On the other hand, opponents as well as I believe that learning past history is a
complete waste of time and energy because it is more to improve present and future
circumstances. From medical point of view, I feel since there are numerous medical
advances developed by medical research, it is easy to detect any historical disease
within seconds. Therefore, instead of wasting time in looking for the information
about the past generations, it is better to think and plan current circumstances.
Finally, several examples can be quoted, where history of the families had played no
role in present situation. For an instance, Bill Gates, who belonged to very poor
family, would have never been in the list of top rich people presently if he would
have wasted his energy researching his ancestor's background and circumstances
that why they were poor.

In conclusion, after weighing both sides of the arguments, it seems to me that the
advantages of researching past history is useless for present generation as well as
future. It would be much better to think about other burning issues around the
world to make this planet more prosperous.
Children can learn effectively by watching television. Therefore they
should be encouraged to watch television both at home and at
school. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
As television is an effective way of learning for students, it is argued that
young people should be promoted to watch educative TV programs at schools
as well as at their homes. I personally disagree with the given statement and
believe that this practice can cause their health and distraction from their
education.
Generally speaking, there are two major reasons why I disapprove the idea of
watching educative programs on tv at schools and at homes. Perhaps the main
reason for this is that it will affect their physical health. In other words, when
young ones would view tv longer hours, it is highly likely that they will catch
some diseases such obesity and high blood pressure due to less physical
movement. Also, more hours in front of t.v is going to weaken their eye sights
and visibility, which means they have to opt for spectacles for proper visibility
as per the advice of opticians under such younger age.
Another supporting reason for my disapproval for the above mentioned idea
is that Children can switch to entertaining channels because of no attention
from parents and teachers. To be more précised, there are certain entertaining
channels broadcasting several amusement programs such as movies and
cartoons at the same time when students are taking educative lectures on tv.
Because most youngsters love entertainment instead of education, they can
switch to those special programs while studying in the absence of their
parents and teachers. Therefore, instead of benefiting the students, education
on tv will contribute more in worsening the situation.
To conclude, although many support the idea of learning on tv, I personally
disfavour this trend because of its health effects and contribution towards the
distraction in form entertaining programs instead of education.
The nuclear family is well adapted to moving due to its size.
Do you think children benefit in any way from moving? Do
you think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?
In developing countries, children in rural communities have less access to
education. Some people believe that the problem can be solved by
providing more schools and teachers, while others think that the problem
can be solved by providing computers and Internet access. Discuss both
views and give your own opinion.

In most under-developed nations, children who belong tocountryside

areas are deprived of quality education. While common opinion is
that the problem can be solved by offering increasing number of
institutes and educators, other people feelthat giving computer and
internet connectivity is good solution to this problem. This essay will
examine both side of the argument and provide an overall opinion
Teacher and institutes computer and internet
1 the people who are unwilling to 1 possible to take online

2 More students could be

It seems impossible to access quality education in most

regional areas of the under-developedcountries.

Due to lower accessibility of education and facilities,

most children belong to regional sections of the
undeveloped countries remain uneducated.
Many people believe that the increasing number of cars in cities is the
biggest source of pollution and waste. Others think that industries are
the ones causing pollution. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Many commentators are of the view that pollution and waste are
mainly caused by more and more cars available in the urban areas
whereas others feel that it is due to factories and manufacturing units
in the cities. This essay will examine both side of the argument and
provide an overall opinion.

Generally speaking, there are number of reasons why people believe

that pollution and waste are mainly caused by more and more cars
available in the urban areas. Perhaps the main reason why people think
that is people are more interested to buy cars unnecessarily due to lower
taxes and easier affordability which is resulting a massive damage to the
atmosphere. According to reports, one litre diesel produces a huge amount
of toxic fumes once it burns, which accounts for the highest pollutant than
any other source of emissions available in the world. Another reason is that
more cars also require new infrastructure such new roads and other plastic
made safety measures which are used in cars. Consequently, there will be
massive destruction to the plants and trees to clear more land for new
roads as well as plastic made interiors of cars would never be disposed of in
future and create hurdles for marines to survive.

Despite these arguments, many people feel that factories are major
pollutant for number of reasons. The primary argument in support of this
idea is that manufacturing units are causing water and soil pollution along
with causing air pollution. In other words, most manufacturing units are
illegal means they have never undergone for pollution check-ups from the
concerned authorities. As a result, they produce smog as well release
polluted water nearby areas. When this water goes to the river, not only
kills marines but also breeds numerous epidemics for the locals who have
to drink such polluted water. Finally, the soil degradation is another
possible issue that occurs because productive land has to be acquired to set
up manufacturing units.

In conclusion, having considered both sides of issue, I would argue

instead of blaming one, both, up surging of car and factories, are equally
contributing to worsen atmosphere.
Some people think that it is necessary to use animals for testing medicine

intended for human use, while other argue that it is cruel to do that. Discuss

both the views and give your opinion.

While it can be argued that animal testing is very essential in order to develop
medicine that can be used for humans, another opinion is that this leads towards
cruelty. This essay will examine both side of the argument and provide an
overall opinion.

Generally speaking, there are number of reasons why people support the idea
of animal testing. Perhaps the main reason is that nothing is more important
than human's life on this planet. In other words, if some creatures are taken
under trial to develop medicines to save people from life-threating diseases,
there is nothing wrong with that because human's life is precious than any
other creature living on the earth. So life-saving drugs can only be found when
they are experimented on animals before they are approved by scientists or
health experts to know the side-effects and effectiveness. In addition, they
also believe that there are certain categories of animals which are useless
such as rats, pigs; in fact, their growth becomes threat for human beings.
Therefore, taking such category of animals under medical trials could be
beneficial for people.

Despite these arguments, many people are against the animal

experimentation for number of reasons. Firstly, they feel that animals have to
bear a lot of pains when they are taken under medical trials to develop
medicines, which is against the law of nature. From religious point of view, no
one is authorized to kill or use any living creature other than god. Hence,
imbalance
animal testing for human benefit is entirely unjustifiable. Finally, increased
experimentation of animals would lead to ecological which means some
species of creature would disappear from the earth very soon. As a
result of this, other animals will increase, which in turn would be a threat for
humanity in future.

In conclusion, although experimentation of creature brings few important

benefits for humanity, yet I am against this idea as it is unfair and injustice to
the creatures living on this planet.
Due to the fact that insufficient amount of waste is recycled which is
collected from homes, I agree that making recycling a legal
requirement is one way to increase recycling, but there are other
useful ways to do so.

On the one hand, approving recycling as a strict law in some countries will
definitely contribute a lot to increase the quantity of house waste recycling for
some reasons. First of all, the citizens will have a fear in their mind that if they
do not do recycling, they have to bear heavy fines or can be sent behind for
some time, which as a result, would definitely improve the situation. Secondly,
the governing authorities are given mandate by the people of a country to
make any favourable laws to upraise country. Hence, governments can enforce
people legally to do more recycling by using it power. For example, during
corona pandemic, all the governments around the world strictly ordered to
wear masks and use sanitizers, and if people could obey masking then why not
order for recycling.

On the other hand, the individuals can also be motivated towards

recycling by offering them some useful schemes. To exemplify, in some
countries, people are given monetary benefits for collection of used
materials including bottles, plastic bags and aluminium cans, which in
turn, motivates them to do more and more recycling. Germany would be
the best example to support my view, where recycling rate have almost
doubled since the country had announced financial benefits to the
citizens for collection of used material over few years.

To conclude, undoubtedly, adding recycling in the constitution of a

country is definitely a useful solution to the improve recycling.
However, motivation in form of money for collection of rubbish can
also be handy measure that countries must follow.
In many countries, paying for things using mobile phone (cell phone)
apps is becoming increasingly common. What are the advantages or
disadvantages?

advantages disadvantages
1 it is faster than manual I Products are of inferior quality
payment
2 it not possible to use for
2 No travelling expense and also uneducated people.
saves time
3 cheating

In majority of nations, the trend for shopping things through various mobile
applications is increasing leaps and bounds in the world. This essay will explain the
benefits and limitations in upcoming paragraphs.
On the one hand, Generally speaking, there are main advantages of paying for things
using mobile phone (cell phone) apps is becoming increasingly common. Perhaps the main
advantage is that it is faster than manual payment. In other words, no cash is needed
to carry to the shops and money can be transferred within seconds. Therefore, this
method is safer as well as faster than manual payments. Secondly, no travelling
expense is required for making payment and it also saves time. For example, a couple
of days before, I bought a pair of shoes through Amazon and I received the delivery
within two days. I did not have to move to shop or carry cash for making payment

Despite these arguments, many people feel that there are some drawbacks as well.
Firstly, Products are of inferior qualities which are bought online through
mobile apps. Majority of internet users are impressed by lower cost but the
quality of the product is really inferior. Secondly, it not possible to use for
uneducated people which means, majority of online shopping websites are in
English language and the person who does not know English, cannot use them.
Finally, there are certain hackers and false websites which take money from
innocent people.

In conclusion, quick payment and no risk of carrying cash to the shops are two
major benefits of this trend. However, goods are of lower quality and
uneducated people cannot use mobile applications properly.

Some people feel that boarding schools (where students or pupils live at the
school during the term) are an an excellent option for children, while other
people disagree for a number of reasons. Consider both sides of this debate
and reach a conclusion.

One group of people strongly support the idea of sending children to boarding
institutes where they can accommodate and continue their education, whereas others
oppose this idea due to specific reasons. This essay will examine both sides of the
arguments and provide an overall opinion in further paragraphs.

On the one hand, Generally speaking, there are number of reasonswhy

people believe boarding school is more useful for schoolgoers. Perhaps
the main reason why people are in favor of this ideais that living at
school zones means no transportation expense to attend lessons from
institutions. In other words, parents have to expend a huge amount of
money in order to arrange school vans orcabs to drop their children to
institutes regularly in regular education, which creates an extra burden
on them.

In conclusion, although opting for boarding school have limited

advantages for children; however, I personally believe that it can have
several negative aspects including homesickness and they may
have to encounter some social issues, which can be more
damaging for them in comparison to regular schooling.
Some people believe that eventually all jobs will be done by artificially
intelligent robots. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is often thought that Robotic developments will perform all the tasks in
futuristic time which are, now, done by humans. In my opinion, unskilled and
manual works would definitely be automated, but the categories of work,
where human's presence is inevitable such as health care and education, can
never be replaced by robots.

On the one hand, admittedly, there are numerous sections of works where
robotic programs are performing in place of human for some reasons. For
example, majority of manufacturing car companies around the world have
opted for robotic system in order to manufacture and assemble parts of the
cars, which as a result, kill two birds with one stone. Firstly, they do not have to
invest money to train workers and secondly, they can expect higher accuracy
and less time consumption to complete the tasks. Another reason why robots
can replace people is that robotic machines can work
tirelessly and without lame excuses that employees make during work to get
leaves from employers, which as a consequence, improves productivity.

On the other hand, in certain areas of jobs, robots are never expected to
supersede human. Primarily, health care sector is one best exampleswhere
emotional support from doctors is required to make faster recovery from
critical diseases, though robotic programs are helpful to diagnose illnesses of
the patients. However, robots can never understand patient's pain and grief
like humans. Finally, for pre- nursery school goers, appreciation and emotional
backup is very essential in order to make them feel at home in schools.
Nevertheless, despite having smart classes in institutions, robots fail to
perform the role of a teacher that a new school goer needs.

In conclusion, no doubt, automated machines are gaining popularity in

majority of jobs such as manufacturing, yet it seems impossible that they may
overtake essential areas of work like schools and health care.
In recent years a large number of highly skilled professionals
like doctors, engineers and IT professionals from poorer
companies are leaving their countries for developed countries
for better-paying jobs. What are the possible problems of this
and what solutions can you suggest to deal with this issue?

In recent years a large number of highly skilled professionals like doctors,

engineers and IT professionals from poorer companies are leaving their
countries for developed countriesfor better-paying jobs
In modern time, brain-drain of skilled professionals from undeveloped nations
to industrialised nations for better lifestyle is gaining popularity, which has
created certain issues for their home countries including loss of skilled people
and a drastic drop to the economy. This essay would also investigate some
useful measures to solve this issue in further paragraphs.

Higher migration from poverty-stricken countries to rich counties becomes the

biggest cause of losing skilled people, which means professionals such as
general practitioners; skilled engineers leave their home nations for the sake of
higher standard of living and higher remuneration to render their services in
foreign countries, once they have finished their professional education.
As a result of this, under- developed are unable to utilise the skills of such
professionals for the development and welfare of countries. Another obvious
issue that arises from this trend is adverse impact on the economic growth of
such countries. For example, if qualified teachers do not retain in their own
country for lower wages, certainly, upcoming generation will be deprived of
quality education, eventually a country's economic progress will suffer.

However, in order to deal with this threatening issue, government should

offer high pay scale for such skilled occupants. This is because lower
remuneration is the main reason that people leave their country and if
governing council bless them withhigher salary packages, it is highly likely that
they can be retained from being migrated.
Finally, allowing higher share in FDI (foreign direct investment) would also be a
handy approach, which will create new job opportunities with handsome
incomes for the skilled category of people. Ultimately, a country will be
prosperous and will expect a quick economic growth.

In conclusion, undoubtedly, migration of skilled occupants is a serious matter

of concern for governments of poor nations; however, by awarding large pay-
scales and allowing more FDIs, this problem can be reduced considerably.
Artists need a certain amount of freedom to develop their
creativity. Some people think that artists should have total
freedom to express any thoughts and ideas. Do advantages
outweigh the disadvantages?

Undoubtedly, liberty is considered essential for artists to improve their power of creativity,
due to that many supporters believe they must have entire freedom to present their views
in front of society. While I accept that practice of offering full freedom to the artists is little
beneficial, I personally believe that the drawbacks of this trend certainly outweigh it merits
as it can increase controversies and conflictions among society.
On the one hand, the first main drawback of giving full liberty to the artists in terms of
expressing their views is that it can heat up controversies and conflicts among different
sections of the societies. According to reports published in CNN, one of the renowned
writers in France drew a funny picture on Muslims in 1990s, and as a consequence of that
there were riots among people in Arab counties where thousands of innocent dwellers were
killed brutally. Another possible disadvantage is many creative artists can take undue
benefit by misleading the people through their imaginative thoughts for their personal
benefits because they have hard core fan followers who support them irrespective of
authentic content.

On the other hand, having full liberty to say whatever artists want can bring numerous
benefits. Firstly, they are only persons who can help to bring the burning issues of the world
in front. In other words, issues such as corruption, dowry, female foeticide, rape, child
labour are top prioritised issues to be brought up discussed in front of society so that people
can be well aware to curb them as quickly as possible. Secondly, writers, singers and
painters are categories of artists who can raise the voice of ordinary class of people to the
higher authorities because such deprived sections of the societies fail to express their
difficulties and problems due lack of resources. However, since social media has widened its
scope worldwide, the need of artists has declined among society because people are
expressing their views freely.

To conclude, after weighing both positives and negatives of giving freedom to the artists, it
seems to me the limitations of this trend certainly outweigh its merits.
Some people today prefer to get advice for medical problems and
do not want to visit a doctor.
Why is this?
Is this a positive or a negative development?
Instead of visiting a health expert, individuals, these days, seek suggestions
from other sources if they have any health issue. This is happening because
patients find it hard to afford expensive physicians for consultations. In my
opinion, this practice is entirely a negative development as it can cause serious
damage to the health.

The most influential reason why people are highly likely to go for suggestions
regarding health-related issues in spite of meeting a health expert is that it
seems impossible for some people including poverty-stricken class to afford
for health specialist just for discussion of a minor illness because most doctors
charge a huge amount of money for appointments. However, an ordinary
person may fail to pay chargeable fee due to weak economic condition,
especially, in Asian countries where per capital income is comparatively lower
than western nations.

In the developed world, average life expectancy is increasing. What problems

will this cause for individuals and society? Suggest some measures that could
be taken to reduce the impact of ageing populations.
In most developed countries of the world, the life span of people is
burgeoning, which as a result creates serious issues including increased health
budget and distraction from career for youngsters. This essay will also
investigate some useful solutions to control the negative impacts of over-aged
population.

The first injurious problem with aging population in developed countries is

that they will suffer from a combination of lower productivity and increased
health budget that have to spend for caring elderly people. To be more
specific, the people who turn above 60 are unable to work and contribute
anything for the nation due to the reason because they become physically and
mentally weaker. As a result of this, a country suffers economically. Despite
improvements in vehicle technology, there are still large numbers of road
accidents.
Big salary is much more important than job satisfaction.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Do you agree or disagree?

job satisfaction than job satisfaction
1. can afford a luxurious lifestyle leads to more happinessat work and
which everyone desires progression

2. high income keeps an individual

motivated at work.

Many museums charge for admission while others are free.
Do you think the advantages of charging people for
admission to museums outweigh the disadvantages?

advantages of charging admission disadvantages of charging

fee in museum admission fee in museum
3 museum's authorities can 3 it would be difficult for poor
maintain repair and renovation people to afford
from ticket collections.
4 it helps to pay salaries of the 4 many children and other
employees working in the interested people would avoid
museums going to museums

It is often said that a huge amount of money is charged by number of museums in form of
entry ticket, whereas others do not ask to pay. In my opinion, the benefits of charging
admission fee from visitors outweigh the disadvantages as authorities become capable of
maintaining repair cost as well as salaries of the staff.

The first major advantage of charging museum fee is that museum's authorities can
maintain repair and renovation from ticket collections. In other words, when visitors come to
museums, there are higher chances that they can make some damage to property, which
require renovation and repair time to time. Therefore, if there is no collection from travelers,
it would be hard to maintain such expenses for the authorities. Another supporting benefit is
that it helps to pay salaries of the employees working in the museums because most
governing authorities are unwilling to fund such exhibitions and they are providing services
on their own.
