Whiteboard: Calories for dummies
INSPIRATION VIDEO [Insert here]
Recording Instructions:
[Whiteboard: Underline big title at top: “CALORIE DEFICIT FOR
DUMMIES”]
Calorie deficit for dummies!
[Draw stick figure with clock + kids stick figures around it]
This is you… Long work hours, kids running around and barely time to
breathe… But guess what?
[Draw arrow to stick figure walking]
You burn calories all day from this! That walk to the car or cooking
dinner… it all adds up!
[Write: TDEE = Total Daily Energy Expenditure]
This daily burn is called your TDEE - Total daily energy expenditure.
[Write big: “2,500 CALORIES” = “MAINTENANCE”]
Let’s say for you, it’s around 2,500 calories a day.
[Write: Eat 2,000 and you lose “BODY FAT”]
If you eat less than that, say 2,000 calories, your body pulls the rest
from somewhere else, ideally your stored body fat. That’s your deficit.
[Draw a muscle arm under BODY FAT and slash it out]
But here’s the mistake most people make: if you slash calories without
a plan, your body doesn’t just lose fat… it loses muscle too.
[Hold up a sponge]
So you end up looking flat & soft… Like this sponge.
[Write: “2 KEYS”]
How do you avoid that? 2 things:
[Write: Strength train 3–4x | Draw dumbbell]
Strength train 3-4X/week, this tells your body: ‘Hey, keep the muscle!’
[Write: Protein = 1g per lb | Draw chicken drumstick]
Eat about 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight.
[Draw burger + chocolate bar + ice cream cone]
And the best part? You don’t have to give up your favorite foods.
Chick-fil-A, chocolate & ice cream can all fit in, as long as you’re hitting
your calories and protein.
[Write: Bonus Tips + draw icon for each]
Bonus tips:
Stay active, daily steps add up.
