Reflection Questions You have learned about research papers throughout this term.
Answer the following questions to show your understanding, learning, and personal
reflection.
1. What did you learn best in this topic?
I learned extensively and expanded my understanding beyond scientific concepts.
Throughout this topic, I gained substantial knowledge about analytical methods used to
interpret market trends and mortgage systems. I now have a clearer comprehension of
how psychology influences everyday decision-making, and how understanding
behavioral patterns can help predict potential market fluctuations. This topic
strengthened my ability to evaluate information critically and connect interdisciplinary
concepts to real-world applications.
2. What did you enjoy the most while learning the research paper?
I enjoyed the process of exploring new areas that I had not previously studied,
particularly the relationship between economic behavior and psychological principles.
Conducting research allowed me to dive deeper into credible sources, compare different
viewpoints, and understand the reasoning behind market movements. I also found it
rewarding to synthesize complex information into a structured argument, which helped
me appreciate the value of academic writing.
3. What challenges did you face while making your research paper?
One of the main challenges was organizing a large amount of information into a clear
and manageable structure. Because the topic covered multiple fields, it was sometimes
difficult to decide which points were essential and which should be excluded. I also
struggled with developing a precise thesis statement that accurately represented the
focus of my research. Additionally, ensuring that all sources were credible and properly
cited required consistent attention and effort.
4. How did you overcome (or how will you overcome) these challenges?
I overcame these challenges by breaking the workload into smaller tasks and setting a
clear outline before writing. Creating a structured outline helped me prioritize the most
relevant ideas and maintain a logical flow. I also reviewed several examples of strong
thesis statements to refine my own. When evaluating sources, I used academic
databases and cross-checked information to ensure reliability. In the future, I will
continue using these strategies to improve efficiency and clarity in my writing.
5. What skills from this unit will help you in future writing or academic tasks?
This unit strengthened several important skills that will support my future academic
work. I improved my ability to craft focused thesis statements, evaluate and incorporate
c redible sources, and present findings in a clear methodology. I also developed stronger
analytical thinking, which is essential for interpreting complex data or arguments. Finally,
learning how to structure a research paper effectively has equipped me with a
foundation for more advanced academic writing across disciplines.
