TEMPORAL DISPLACEMENT LEVELS OF DISPLACEMENT
The Clockroach devours its victimʼs
time, the effect growing in severity as d6 LEVEL 1 > LEVEL 2
the taget loses their grasp on reality.
1 10 seconds / 6 hours
Temporal Displacement occurs
instantly if players encounter the
Clockroach and are not measuring 2 1 minute / 12 hours
time. Roll (d6) to see how much
temporality is lost. Players then make
a CTRL save: SUCCESS, remain on 3 5 minutes / 1 day
same level of displacement; FAIL,
advance to next level of displacement.
4 30 minutes / 3 days
If players encounter the Clockroach
immediately cut to the action elsewhere.
When the focus returns to them they will 5 1 hour / 1 week
be in a new room (if the whole party is
together, jump cut to them in another
room). They will have the vague sense 6 3 hours / 2 weeks
of time passing but be unable to recall
what has transpired (1 Stress). It will
only feel like a short moment, even if d6 LEVEL 3 > LEVEL 4
far more time has been taken...
1 1 month / 10 years
MEASURED TIME
The Clockroach can only use its 2 3 months / 20 years
Temporal Displacement when people
are unaware of the passage of time.
They may prevent this ability with 3 6 months / 50 years
actions that could include:
• Watching a clock, wristwatch or
any kind of timer 4 1 year / 100 years
• Counting aloud, uninterrupted
• Through the digital display of a
video camera as it records 5 2 years / - 10 years
Once observed, it cannot use its ability
until it has left their vicinity. Become
6 5 years / Clockroach
DISCOVERABLE ITEMS
Molt Headpiece: Found if searching the molting shell husk of the Clockroach. It
is the intact headpiece of the Clockroachʼs husk. If worn like a hideous mask (1
Stress) it nullifies Temporal Displacement and other abilities that distort time.
Antique Wristwatch (resonant artifact): Found in abdomen of the Clockroach
after death. Activation: wind backwards. Use either Temporal Displacement
or Rewind ability. After each use a patch of their skin goes through ecdysis
until they have fully and irrevocably metamorphosised into a Clockroach.
