ABOUT 7 DAY CAMP


The 7-day NSS Special Camp (2025-26) was held at Koyavari Palem,
Guntur District, from Dec 13-19, 2025. The camp focused on awareness
programs for Swachh Bharat, Anti-Addiction, Soil Conservation, A2 Milk, and
Global Warming. Activities included plantation drives at Sivalayam Temple and
between Two Ponds. Volunteers participated in an eye screening camp and house
tax survey. Awareness campaigns on plastic ban were also conducted. The camp
aimed at community engagement and environmental sustainability. It provided
hands-on experience to NSS volunteers. The event was led by Dr. E. Nageswara
Rao, Program Officer. K. Rahul Sai and Boddu Prasanna Kumar served as
Volunteer Secretaries. The camp concluded successfully with active participation
of volunteers. Overall, it was a enriching experience for all involved.

REPORT OF THE PROGRAMME


As part of the NSS Special Camp – Day 1, the NSS Unit–V of R.V.R. & J.C. College of
Engineering organized an awareness and action programme on “Swachh Bharat – Swachh
Andhra & Swachh Village” at the adopted village Koyavaripalem on 13-12-2025.

The programme began with the arrival of NSS volunteers at the village, followed by an
orientation session conducted by the Programme Officer, Dr. E. Nageswara Rao,
highlighting the objectives of Swachh Bharat and the importance of cleanliness for healthy
living.

NSS volunteers actively participated in Swachhata Hi Seva, cleaning village streets, public
places, drainage areas, and surroundings of houses. The programme was carried out in
collaboration with village residents, creating a strong sense of community participation.

The joint effort of students and villagers made the programme highly successful and
impactful. The activity helped inculcate social responsibility among students and reinforced
the importance of cleanliness as a collective duty.

The Day-1 activities concluded with positive feedback from villagers, who appreciated the
efforts of NSS volunteers and expressed willingness to maintain cleanliness regularly.

Report on the Programme


As part of the NSS Special Camp, NSS Unit-V of R.V.R. & J.C. College of Engineering
conducted an awareness programme on “A2 Milk Consumption and Plastic Ban in Every
Home” on 14-12-2025 at the adopted village Koyavari Palem.

The programme aimed to educate villagers about the health benefits of A2 milk, its role in
improving digestion, immunity, and overall well-being. NSS volunteers explained the
difference between A1 and A2 milk and encouraged villagers to prefer indigenous cow milk
for better health outcomes.

In addition, students created awareness on the harmful effects of plastic usage, especially
single-use plastics, on human health, animals, and the environment. Villagers were motivated
to adopt eco-friendly alternatives such as cloth bags, jute bags, and reusable containers.
Door-to-door interactions helped in effectively communicating the message to every
household.

At 4:00 PM, the camp was honored by the visit of the State NSS Officer, Dr. M. Sudhakar,
who interacted with the NSS volunteers and villagers. He appreciated the active
participation and dedication of the students and motivated the volunteers by highlighting
the importance of NSS activities in nation-building and community development. He
encouraged students to continue their selfless service and social responsibility.

The programme concluded with a positive response from the villagers and renewed
enthusiasm among NSS volunteers.

Conclusion

The awareness programme was successfully conducted and achieved its objectives by
promoting healthy living through A2 milk consumption and encouraging a plastic-free
lifestyle. The visit of the State NSS Officer added great motivation and inspiration to the
volunteers, making the programme memorable and impactful.

Report on the Programme


As part of the NSS Special Camp, NSS Unit-V of R.V.R. & J.C. College of Engineering
conducted an awareness programme on Promoting the Use of Non-Conventional Energy
along with preparation for plantation activities on 15-12-2025 in the adopted village.

The programme began with NSS volunteers interacting with villagers and explaining the
importance of non-conventional energy sources such as solar energy, wind energy, biogas,
and other renewable resources. Students highlighted the advantages of renewable energy,
including environmental protection, reduction of pollution, conservation of fossil fuels, and
long-term economic benefits. The villagers were informed about simple ways to adopt these
energy sources in daily life.

After the awareness session, the volunteers actively participated in preparation for
plantation, which included digging pits, cleaning selected areas, and making the land
ready for planting saplings. The students worked enthusiastically alongside villagers,
emphasizing the importance of greenery and environmental sustainability.

Report of the Programme


As part of the NSS Special Camp, NSS Unit–V successfully conducted the 4th day
programme on 16-12-2025 at Koyavari Palem with the theme “Awareness on Anti-
Addiction and Drug Abuse.” The objective of the programme was to educate students about
the harmful effects of drugs and motivate them to lead a disciplined and responsible life.

Sri Sudheer Babu, Narcotics Inspector, addressed the gathering and explained in detail the
disadvantages of drug abuse, its impact on physical and mental health, and the serious
consequences faced after consuming drugs. He also highlighted the legal implications and
societal damage caused by narcotic substances.

Smt. B. Radhika Garu, Youth Services Manager, delivered an inspiring and motivational
talk. She encouraged students to focus on their goals, stay away from addictions, and always
remember the values taught by parents and teachers. Her speech motivated students to
build a bright future through self-discipline and commitment.

An interactive session was held with students from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM, during which
students actively participated and clarified their doubts.

The NSS Programme Officer, Dr. E. Nageswara Rao, actively participated in the
programme and felicitated both the Narcotics Inspector and the Youth Services Manager
in appreciation of their valuable guidance.

The programme concluded successfully, followed by lunch after 1:30 PM. The event
created strong awareness among students and villagers about the importance of living an
addiction-free life.

Conclusion

The 4th day NSS programme conducted by NSS Unit–V at Koyavari Palem was

Report – Fifth Day NSS Special Camp


On 17th December 2025, the fifth day of the NSS Special Camp was successfully
conducted in the adopted village by NSS Unit–V. The day focused on Awareness on Soil
Conservation and Protection of Soil along with a Free Eye Screening Camp in
collaboration with Medex Hospitals.

The programme began with an awareness session highlighting the importance of soil, causes
of soil degradation, and methods of soil conservation such as afforestation, contour
farming, and prevention of soil erosion. NSS volunteers actively explained the need to protect
soil for sustainable agriculture and environmental balance.

Simultaneously, a Free Eye Screening Camp was conducted by qualified doctors from
Medex Hospitals. The camp was organized continuously throughout the day, with a break

only during lunch time. Eye check-ups were provided to villagers, NSS volunteers, school
children, school staff, and residents from an old age orphanage. Many beneficiaries were
advised regarding eye care and further treatment.

The programme witnessed active participation from school children and staff, who
showed great interest in both the awareness programme and the medical camp. The initiative
greatly benefited the local community by promoting environmental awareness and health
care.

The day concluded with a valedictory session, where NSS volunteers expressed their
gratitude to the medical team and villagers for their cooperation. The fifth day of the NSS
Special Camp was meaningful, informative, and socially impactful.

REPORT ON NSS SPECIAL CAMP – DAY 6


The Sixth Day of the NSS Special Camp was conducted successfully at the adopted village
Koyavari Palem with a focus on the Plantation Programme. The NSS volunteers of
Unit–V, along with the Programme Officer, departed from the college at 10:00 AM and
reached the village by 10:30 AM.

As per the request of the Village Secretary, the plantation programme was carried out in the
surroundings of the Sivalayam Temple. NSS volunteers actively participated in planting
more than 50 saplings, including Mango, Tamarind, Neradu (Jamun), and Neem trees,
emphasizing the importance of fruit-bearing and medicinal plants for environmental
sustainability.

During the afternoon session, another plantation activity was conducted in the open area
between two ponds, where additional seedlings were planted to enhance greenery, support
groundwater conservation, and prevent soil erosion.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. E. Nageswara Rao, NSS
Programme Officer, Unit–V, and with the encouragement of Dr. Kolla Srinivas, Principal,
R.V.R. & J.C. College of Engineering. The villagers appreciated the efforts of NSS
volunteers and actively cooperated in the programme.

The Day–6 activities concluded successfully, promoting environmental awareness, social


responsibility, and community participation among the NSS volunteers.

Report on NSS Special Camp – 7th Day


The 7th day of the NSS Special Camp was conducted successfully at the adopted village
Koyavari Palem with the theme “Awareness on Global Warming.” All NSS volunteers,
along with the Programme Officer, departed from the college at 10:00 AM and reached the
camp site by 10:30 AM.

The programme was graced by the visit of Dr. Divya Tejo Murthy Garu, Professor and
ANU NSS Coordinator. He addressed the NSS volunteers and villagers, explaining the
causes, effects, and preventive measures of global warming. He emphasized the role of
students in protecting the environment and achieving sustainable development goals.

As part of the environmental initiative, tree plantation was carried out by Dr. Divya Tejo
Murthy Garu along with NSS volunteers and the Programme Officer. The activity created
awareness among villagers about the importance of greenery and ecological balance.

At 1:00 PM, lunch was arranged for all participants. After lunch, sports competitions were
organized between college students and villagers, which helped in building unity,
cooperation, and mutual understanding between students and the local community.

At 3:30 PM, the Valedictory Function was conducted in the presence of villagers and the
Zilla Parishat High School Headmistress and staff. They blessed and motivated the NSS
volunteers, appreciating their dedication and services throughout the camp.

The 7th day activities concluded successfully with a sense of achievement, social
responsibility, and environmental consciousness among the students and villagers.

Conclusion

The 7th day of the NSS Special Camp was conducted successfully, creating awareness on
global warming and environmental protection. The address by Dr. Divya Tejo Murthy Garu
and the tree plantation programme motivated students and villagers towards sustainable
practices. The activities strengthened community bonding and fulfilled the objectives of the
National Service Scheme.
