AI-Powered Discovery & Collaboration Platform for Traditional

Handicrafts and Musical Instruments

Abstract
Traditional handicrafts and handmade musical instruments face declining visibility and
limited collaboration opportunities in the digital era. Artisans and instrument makers often
lack awareness of user demand, while musicians struggle to access authentic products and
reliable customization support. To address these challenges, this project proposes a hybrid
AI-driven digital platform developed as a progressive web application with future mobile
extensibility. The system emphasizes intelligent discovery and collaboration rather than
conventional online commerce. The platform utilizes a role-based login mechanism to
personalize user experience and maintain persistent preferences. An AI-based
recommendation engine suggests relevant handicrafts and musical instruments based on
user interests, browsing behavior, and categorized attributes such as region, material, and
instrument type. A controlled collaboration hub enables structured interaction between
artisans and musicians for requirement discussions and knowledge exchange, supported by
access limitations and moderation mechanisms to prevent misuse. Multimedia integration,
including images, videos, and audio samples, enhances product representation and user
engagement. The proposed solution aims to strengthen artisan–musician collaboration,
improve cultural product visibility, and support the sustainable preservation of traditional
crafts and musical heritage through a user-centric digital ecosystem.
