• Web 2.0 refers to the second generation of the internet, which emphasizes user-

• Unlike the static pages of Web 1.0, Web 2.0 platforms allow users to create, share,
and engage with content in real time.

Social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter (now X), Instagram and LinkedIn are prime
examples of Web 2.0 applications because they:

•Rely on user participation to thrive

and Noah Glass and launched in July 2006.

overloads the server.
• Twitter is time consuming. Your work, social interaction can suffer due to your
continuous tweeting.
