Brandwagon Yearly Events Calendar 2026 -

Detailed Plan
Executive Summary
As SCC, I'm proposing 12 flagship events spread across Jan-Dec
2026 that build on Brandwagon's DNA (case competitions, brand strategy,
consumer insights, digital marketing) while keeping the club buzzing every
month. Each event is strategically timed around academic calendar, festive
seasons, and industry trends.

Key Philosophy: Mix competitive energy (4 case comps), skill-building (4

workshops), and fun engagement (4 social/creative events). This keeps
members challenged, learning, AND having fun.

JANUARY - KICK-OFF & REFLECTIONS

Event 1: "Brand Retrospective 2025" (Jan 15-17)
Format: 2-day internal workshop + open campus session

Description:

 Reflect on top brand wins/failures from 2025 (Netflix password sharing

pivot, OnlyFans rebrand, Zomato's new campaign shifts)
 Teams analyze what worked: messaging, visuals, targeting, execution
 Open to all, hosted at Finance Lab (110-pax capacity)
 Winners get Brandwagon member priority for 2026 events

Why January?
Timing aligns with New Year energy + students back on campus post-
holidays. Gets buzz flowing early, builds anticipation for year ahead.

Deliverables:

 Case studies document (internal wiki)

 Top 5 brands featured in January MarkMantra edition
 Member registration for 2026 clubs/sub-groups

Budget: ₹8,000 (snacks, printing, certificates)

FEBRUARY - FOUNDATION & LEARNING
Event 2: "Marketing 101: From Theory to TikTok" (Feb 10-
14)
Format: 5-day workshop series (lunch talks + hands-on sessions)

Description:

 Day 1: Consumer Psychology 101 (behavioral econ lens—why we buy)

 Day 2: Digital Basics (SEO, paid ads, organic reach metrics)
 Day 3: Brand Storytelling Workshop (Canva + video creation)
 Day 4: Live Case: Analyzing a failed campaign rebrand
 Day 5: Showcase - teams pitch their own "personal brand" reposition

Speakers/Collaborators:

 Day 1: Faculty from Consumer Behavior course

 Days 2-3: Digital marketing freelancer OR alumni from Ogilvy/WPP
 Day 4: Me (using recent examples like Twitter/X rebrand)
 Day 5: Judged by Capital club for cross-pollination

Why February?
Post-January momentum, good attendance (pre-midsem stress), attracts new
members who missed Jan event. Foundation skills for bigger competitions
later.

Expected Turnout: 80-100 per session, 40-50 committed to showcase

Deliverables:

 LinkedIn post series (5 posts, 1 per day—reach: 3k+)

 Showcase winner spotlight (featured in MarkMantra Feb edition)
 Resource deck shared on club Drive (for future reference)

Budget: ₹15,000 (speaker honorarium ₹8k, snacks ₹5k, materials ₹2k)

MARCH - FLAGSHIP COMPETITION
Event 3: "BrandQuest 2026 – National Case Competition"
(Mar 10-31)
(Detailed earlier in my SCC proposal)

Format: 3-round national hybrid competition

Description:

 Case: Indian tea exporter rebranding amid tariffs + eco-shift

 Teams: 3-5 members, 100+ teams (IIFT + 50+ B-schools)
 Rounds: Online qualifier (5-page deck) → Live pitch (auditorium) →
Prototype defense (Vivaan integration)
 Prizes: ₹50k/20k/10k + internship scouts
 Theme: "Sustainable Brands in Global Trade"

Why March?
Peak energy post-midsems, ties to Vivaan festival timing, aligns with spring
season (fresh starts—sustainability angle resonates).

Expected Reach: 500 participants, 10k social impressions, 2+ sponsor

confirmations

Budget: ₹1,50,000 (sponsor-funded 70%)

Post-Event:

 MarkMantra special feature (Mar-Apr issue)

 Winner case study published on LinkedIn
 Feedback loop for next iteration (BrandQuest 2027)

APRIL - CREATIVE & FUN

Event 4: "Ad-Mad Intra Competition" (Apr 18-20)
Format: Creative ad recreation competition + performance night

Description:
 Challenge: Teams get a famous brand ad (Amul, IKEA, Apple classic)
+ must recreate it in 5 minutes using campus props
 Round 1: Submissions video (homemade recreations with budget
₹500-1000 max)
 Round 2: Live performances (Apr 19, auditorium, 6 PM)
 Judging: Creativity (40%), Humor (30%), Brand relevance (20%),
Execution (10%)
 Prizes: Winner gets ₹5k + trophy + feature on Brandwagon socials

Why April?
Post-BrandQuest energy dip → fun event keeps engagement alive. Light,
energetic, breaks up exam stress. Great for content (user-generated videos
= organic reach).

Expected Turnout: 30-40 teams register, 20-25 perform live (60+

audience)

Deliverables:

 YouTube compilation of top 10 recreations (target: 2k views)

 Winning video featured across socials (IG, LinkedIn)
 Internal club document: "Lessons in brand creativity"

Budget: ₹10,000 (snacks, prizes, trophy, video editing)

MAY - SUMMER BREAK PIVOT

Event 5: "Garage Sale + Brand Audit" (May 10-12)
Format: Weekend stall-based fundraiser + educational angle

Description:

 Physical Event: Collect eco/sustainable products from members +

local vendors (upcycled fashion, organic cosmetics, handmade crafts)
 Sales Angle: Teams run mini stalls, practice sales pitch (tie to
BDM/sales internships)
 Educational Angle: Participants audit each stall's "brand
positioning"—Is messaging clear? Who's target customer? Why would
someone buy?
 Proceeds: 70% to club coffers (fund rest of year events), 30% to
chosen NGO
 Location: Campus courtyard (morning) + evening hangout vibes

Why May?
Timing before summer break—interns leave, some go home. This event
keeps campus engaged, raises club funds sustainably, AND teaches practical
sales/marketing.

Expected Funds Raised: ₹25,000-30,000 (for club activities)

Attendance: 150-200 campus members + friends

Deliverables:

 NGO partnership announcement (LinkedIn post—boost club's social

image)
 Internal financials document

10, Hybrid)

₹2k)

AUGUST - ENGAGEMENT PULSE CHECK

Event 7: "Summer Brand Analysis Challenge" (Aug 1-31,
Online)
Format: Monthly mini-competition (low-pressure, fun)

Description:

 Challenge: Pick ANY brand in the news (Netflix price hike, Starbucks
labor controversy, Elon's X rebrand)
 Submission: 2-page analysis (What went wrong? How'd they handle
it? What should they do next?)
 Format: Individual OR pair submissions
 Judging: Faculty + me (based on insights, not perfection)
 Prize: Winner featured in MarkMantra September + shout-out on
socials

Why August?
Summer month = lower energy. This online, low-barrier event keeps
