INTERNAL GUIDE HEAD OF DEPARTMENT
SITE DETAIL

 The ongoing project name is ‘Sparsh villa’.

 The project type is Residential and commercial.

 The location of this site is at kada

chowkdi,visnagar.

• Sparsh villa project providing amenties like

attractive garden,children playing area,security
with CCTV camera,entrance gate.
PROJECT DETAIL

• Project name:-sparsh villa

• Project location:-kada chowkdi,visnagar

• Building type:-Residential and commercial

• Project description:-3 and 4 BHK house(57) and

shops

• Structure type:-frame structure

• Total cost of project:-60cr+approx

MATERIAL USE IN CONSTRUCTION

1. CONCRETE

• Concrete is a composed of fine and coarse

bonded together with a fluid cement(cement paste).
• There are many type of mixture we created in
concrete mix design.
• In this site we use M25 mixer of concrete for all
required concrete work.
CEMENT

• On the site we have generally use two type of cement.

 Ordinary Portland cement(OPC)
 Pozzolana Portland cement(PPC)
• OPC and PPC is also available in various [Link] grade is
for strength of cement
• In the small construction OPC is Preferable than PPC.
Coarse Aggregate
• Aggregates larger than 4.75 mm in size are
termed as coarse aggregates. These aggregates are
obtained from stone quarries and stone crushers,
the size between 4.75 mm to 80 mm. This aggregate
used for the construction of concrete and mortar
must meet the following requirements.
• Coarse aggregates brought to site should be
washed clean if required.

• These aggregates are obtained from stone

quarries and stone crushers.

• The aggregate should not contain any material

that will attack the reinforcement. The maximum
quantities of deleterious materials in coarse
aggregates should not exceed the limits laid down as
per IS:2386 (Part I & II).
Fine Aggregate

• The aggregates passing 4.75 mm Tyler sieve and

retained on .075 mm sieve are classified as Fine
Aggregate.
• Usually, sand, crushed stone, and crushed bricks
are used as fine aggregate in concrete or pavement
construction
• It should be strong and durable.
• It should not react with cement after mixing.
• Also, it should have a tough floor.
• It should not absorb greater than 5% of water
FORM WORK OF SITE

• There are three types of form work we used at site.

1) Iron form work of columns
2) Aecrealic ply form work of columns, LIFT and shear wall
3) Ply formwork

1) Iron form work of columns:

• This type of formwork will be used for casting of columns.

• We can manage the size of iron plate with the help of
screw.
• We can manage size like 300x600,300x700,300x750 till
300x900.
• This type of form work will fit with the help of screw.
• Iron plate form work of column is the common form work
at generally all the site.
• It is costlier than ply form work.

2) Aecrealic Ply Form Work of Columns, Lift and Shear Wall:

• This type of form work fitting with the runner and tyroid.
• It takes heavy cost of runner and tyroid.
• The height of the column is 2.4 meter.
• Started the shuttering of column with pull the ply and
shutter the column with proper measurement.
• After that fix the runner and tyroid for 2 to 3 feet gap
according to size of the column.
• Show the plumb of the column before concreting.
• Make sure that column is in proper cover with 4 side
according to measure.
• After concreting also check the plump of the column.

3) Ply formwork:

• This type of form work made with the ply sheet at site.
• Behind the ply sheet there will be wooden Patti form the
making of ply sheet.
• This type of form work will used for lift, columns, shear wall
and columns also.
• this is the chippiest among all three types of form work.
• It also need runner and tyroid for the fitting of the columns
and etc.
• Plywood formwork is one of re-moulded timber resin-
bonded plywood sheets are attached to timber frames to make
up panels of the required sizes. It is strong, flexible, and easy to
handle. Its life is too short compared to other materials.
• Plywood has the natural property to absorb moisture,
resulting in a sponge effect. This causes movement of the panels,
affects the weight and the mechanical properties of the material,
ultimately influencing its life cycle.
COVER BLOCK
Cover blocks are used for the many reasons for maintain a
specified distance between the rebar and the shuttering to
protect the steel reinforcement bars from environment effects .
Concrete cover size 20mm,25mm,40mm, 50mm are used in the
site. But here maximum cover is used 50mm.
Ongoing work on site
CONSTRUCTION PROCESS:

1) Pre construction steps (phase-I)

• To acquire land or plot
• To seek technical help
• Preparing estimate and budget
• Permission from authorities
• Approach a builder

2) building construction steps (phase- II)

• Site preparation of leveling
• Excavation and PCC
• Foundation
• Plinth beam and slab
• Superstructure- column
• Brick masonary work
• Floor slab or roof structure
Slab Casting by concrete pump
What I learn from this Internship?
Internship is a class healed at site to provide an enhanced
understanding of the outside working environment before the
student graduate. Student like civil engineering and other fields
also take this practice. The main aim of this practice internship is
that to teach students communication with different workers.
employees, to improve practical skill what they learned at class,
up grading the theoretical knowledge in addition to the class.
improve their leadership skill, team playing skill and etc.
Overall Benefits of internship
• Improving practical skill
• Team work
• How to make labors to do work and get things done on
time.
• Upgrading theoretical Knowledge
• How to check the quality of the material on site.
• Improve interpersonal communication skills
• Problem solving skills.
• Work Ethics.
• Adaptability skills.
• Time Management
