Go to File > Append > find the asset folder > *Assetname*_Rig.blend > Collection >

TIP: Make sure that you move the assets in Pose Mode so that the functionality doesn’t break.
Textures
In order for textures to be visible in Viewport shading, make
sure to select “Texture” under the Color section.
RIG UI
Some more complex TOAnimate assets have a UI that you can access in the viewport’s side
menu after installing the add-on. The UI allows you to hide/reveal sets of controllers to make
your rig view less cluttered, and also gives you access to custom properties, if the rig has any
(will be listed below in this PDF guide). Select the rig > Pose Mode > press N to open N-menu
> RigUI tab.
Add-on installation:
Go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons >
Install. Locate the downloaded add-on on
your computer and select it (don’t unzip the
file). The ‘TO Rig UI’ will now appear in the
side menu of the viewport after pressing N
(this only needs to be done once and works
for any rig you purchase from the
TOAnimate Store).
Periodically check for any updates to the
add-on by clicking on the “Check for
Add-on Update” button.
SPECIAL RIG PROPERTIES
1. God ctrl
Toggle subdivision:
Toggle to get a smoother looking model (slows down performance).
2. Arm Settings (gear ctrl)
IK/FK switch
Switch between IK and FK - arm/hand controllers will automatically swap as well.
1 = FK, 0 = IK
IK/FK snapping
In order for the transition between IK and FK to be seamless, use the IK/FK snapping options.
The magnet will match the position of the controller on the specific frame (great for switching
between IK and FK over 1 frame). The Action button will snap the position of the controller on all
frames of the action.
How to use: When going from FK to IK, snap the IK controller’s position to FK using the IK ->
FK button, then slide the IK -> FK Switch slider to 0 (and vice versa).
Parent Spaces
Choose the appropriate space for the IK arm/pole parent from the drop-down menu and the
controller will switch while maintaining its correct position in space (use the arrow on the right to
switch all timeline keyframes at the same time).
FK Limb Follow
When set to 0, FK arms rotate with the body. When set to 1, arms maintain world orientation.
IK Stretch
Allows the arm geo to stretch to a certain distance.
3. Fingers
Finger Curve
Smooths out finger curves for a more polished look.
4. Elbow Tweak
Rubber Tweak
Rounds off the elbow for a more rubber hose look.
*Note that the “Arm Tweak” layer has to be activated to see these controllers.
Elbow Stick
Sticks the elbow to the tweaker.
