Question 1 12 marks
Real Time Tech Solutions is a thriving technology company that specializes in developing
innovative software solutions. The company has various departments, each with distinct roles
and responsibilities. Let's explore the key members and their contributions:
Mr J. West whose role is to set the overall vision and direction of the company. He makes
high-level decisions, fosters a positive company culture, and ensure that the business is
meeting its strategic goals.
Mr C. Richards whose role involves providing leadership, facilitating effective governance, and
representing the organization in various capacities.
Ms. L. Roets whose role focuses on the day-to-day operations of the company. She
streamlines processes, manage resources, and ensure that the company's internal functions
are running smoothly. It also includes overseeing project management, human resources, and
facilities.
Ms. C. Khumalo who is responsible for overseeing the technology team and is responsible for
the development of cutting-edge software solutions. She leads the technical vision, evaluate
emerging technologies, and ensure that the company stays at the forefront of industry trends.
Mr R. Ranaka oversees all marketing activities. He develops marketing strategies, build the
company's brand, and ensure effective communication with clients. This includes managing
digital marketing, content creation, and public relations.

Siyakhula Holdings Ltd is a large South African company operating in multiple industries,

changed its organisational structure from a functional structure to a divisional structure. The
company also appointed a company secretary.
The board of directors consists of:
• Three executive directors, including the CEO and CFO
• Four non-executive directors
• Two independent non-executive directors
The board has established the following committees: Audit Committee and Social and Ethics
Committee.
The CEO proposed a major acquisition:
• The CFO prepared the annual financial statements
• Concerns were raised about executive remuneration
• A whistleblower reported possible environmental non-compliance
• The audit committee met with the external auditors
