Projects
Project#1: GRC (Credit Risk World-wide Database)
CLIENT: BNP Paribas Group | Role: SQL/PLSQL Developer | Team Size: 11|Duration:08/2023 to Present
TECHNOLOGIES USED: Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, MSSQL ,Pro*C, UNIX Shell Scripting, PostgreSQL, Python, C,
AWS (Lambda, RDS, CloudWatch, Redshift, DynamoDB, S3, EC2), SQL*Loader
Tools & Software: Make Utility, GDB, SVN, Git, FileZilla, GCC, Vi Editor, Putty
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The GRC application was developed for BNP Paribas Bank to calculate and manage
credit risk exposure across customers, banks, and states. It consolidates financial data and generates
comprehensive regulatory and internal risk reports, covering country risk, credit risk (financial exposure,
major risks), economic capital, regulatory reporting (BFI, Group), and IAS provisions. The application's
architecture allows multiple risk methodologies to be applied while producing consistent reports from a
unified data source, ensuring accurate decision-making and compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACHIEVEMENTS :
Developed PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, collections, and ref cursors to handle complex
•
business logic. Strong scripting skills (Python preferred; Bash/PowerShell acceptable).
Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS) and containerised deployments.
•
Knowledge of monitoring tools (CloudWatch, NewRelic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana).
•
Expertise in backup/recovery, disaster recovery planning, and high availability.
•
Certifications: AWS Database Specialty or Solutions Architect certification preferred.
•
Communication: Excellent collaboration skills for cross-time-zone team.
•
Optimized SQL queries and database objects to improve EOD (End of Day) batch performance.
•
Designed and implemented Pro*C programs and Arora for file uploads, trade confirmation processing,
•
and report generation.
Managed data loading using SQL * Loader and validated large volumes of financial data.
•
Automated daily workflows by integrating Pro*C programs with UNIX shell scripts and cron jobs.
•
Built AWS Lambda functions to extract trade data and trigger automated Excel report generation using
•
PL/SQL triggers.
Worked extensively with Native Dynamic SQL (NDS) for flexible query execution and dynamic reporting.
•
Performed data validations to ensure accuracy and compliance of regulatory submissions.
•
Prepared technical design and effort estimation documents for new database solutions and
•
enhancements.
Provided UAT and production support, investigating and resolving critical incidents in a 24/7 financial
•
environment.
Project#2:FI-Precon
CLIENT: Deutsche Bank | Role: SQL/PLSQL & Pro*C Developer | Team Size: 8 Duration:12/2021 to 07/2023
TECHNOLOGIES USED: Oracle PL/SQL, MSSQL,Pro*C, UNIX Shell Scripting, Python, AWS (Lambda,
DynamoDB, S3), PostgreSQL
Tools & Software: Make Utility, GDB, SVN, Git, FileZilla, GCC, Vi Editor, Putty
PROJECT DESCRIPTION : The FI-Precon application was developed to automate the pre-confirmation of
Fixed Income trades for Deutsche Bank clients. Previously, confirmations were sent via fax/email and
managed manually through Excel macros, creating delays and operational overhead. The project automated
the generation and delivery of Excel-based trade confirmation reports containing trade details such as SSI
(Standing Settlement Instructions), trade status, and counterparty information. The automated solution
ensured real-time delivery of confirmations to clients via email, reducing manual effort and improving trade
matching accuracy.
