ASCOREPAIR RTM
High Build, High Strength Polymer Modified, Fiber Reinforced, Thixotropic Structural Repair Mortar
DESCRIPTION
ASCOREPAIR RTM is a high build, high strength, fiber reinforced, thixotropic shrinkage compensated
structural repair mortar. ASCOREPAIR RTM is designed for the restoration of spelled and damaged
concrete where formwork cannot be utilized. ASCOREPAIR RTM has high, ultimate compressive strength
and high abrasion resistance. The specially selected cements, fibers and polymers contained in
ASCOREPAIR RTM provide a mortar with strong adhesion to concrete on vertical and horizontal
substrates.
KEY FEATURES
High build repairs achievable in a single application
Shrinkage compensated allowing for long term dimensional stability
Eliminates the need for formwork
Shrinkage compensated Exceptional bond strength to concrete substrates
Ultimate compressive strength
Excellent strength and high abrasion resistance
For external & internal use
Excellent adhesion with many substrates
Internal or external applications
Easy to use- simply add water and mix
RECOMMENDED APPLICATIONS
Repair of concrete damaged by reinforcement corrosion or damage
Repairs to spelled columns, beams, slab etc. caused by corrosion of steel
High build repairs for vertical, overhead and horizontal repairs
Repairs requiring high compressive strength
Repairing damaged concrete panels where structural strength is required
Waterproof render to concrete, brickwork and block work.

SURFACE PREPARATION
Substrates should be clean & free from all contaminants, loose particles, coatings, dirt, mould, oil etc.
Substrates must be sound, rough & dampened to ensure a good bond. Prior to placing grout, surface
should be saturated for a minimum period of four hours and preferably for twenty-four hours. Remove all
excess water before placement of grout. Bolts, base plates and equipment must be secure and rigid before
placement of grout.
APPLICATION METHOD
Any cracked or weakened surface should be removed and repaired to provide a solid foundation. It is
recommended that for large areas a minimum depth of 5 mm be prepared as to avoid excessive feather
edging or skim coating. Break out the repair area to a minimum of 5 mm up to the saw cut edge. Scabbing
or high pressure water blasting should be used to remove laitance and provide a mechanical key. If any
corroded steel is present remove all loose scale and corrosion/rust deposits. Grit blasting is effective in
removing corrosion, and all steel including re-bars should be cleaned to a bright condition. Immediately
after cleaning steel, the steel should be treated with ASCOPRIME RUSTCON. This will stop further
oxidation and corrosion. For excellent bonding to the substrate ASCOBOND 450 should be mixed with
OPC at the mixing ratio 1:1.
Apply the mixed ASCOREPAIR RTM material to the prepared surface using a trowel or a gloved hand.
CURING
It is a very important to prevent early plastic state moisture loss prior to the product setting. Cure product
thoroughly after it has set by keeping it wet and covered for at least 7 days or apply a curing compound.
CLEAN UP
Wash all tools & equipment in warm soapy water immediately after use.
PACKING
ASCOREPAIR RTM is available in 30 Kg and 50 Kg sealed Bag
SELF LIFE
12 months from production date if stored in original, unopened packaging, in places protected from
moisture, sun exposure and frost.
