This project of this nature is a learning task gave me exposure to understand the banking sector
in a cute manners and stretching over a period of time, for completing a project like this one
takes the effort and quality in built.
Although this project report is being brought in my name, it bears an imprint of guidance and
cooperation of many individuals. Several persons with whom I integrated have contributed
significantly to the successful completion of the project study. In the successful & trouble free
completion of my final term project titled “A Study on Employee Job Satisfaction Of HDFC
Bank Ltd.”
I am thankful to Dr. Manjula Spah Principal, G.V.M. Girls College. I am highly indebted to Ms.
Mahima (Project Mentor) who has provided me the necessary information and for the support
extended in the completion of this report. They extended their valuable suggestion and comments
on bringing out this report in the best way possible. I also extend my heartiest thanks to my my
internship organization, family and well-wishers.
Executive Summary
This study is the result of my research program ran for the past three months placed at the HDFC
Bank Ltd. International Finance Investment and Commerce Bank Limited is one of the first
generation banks. It has already developed reputation among the users. The bank operates its all
products as is middle of the city. As a result the bank has to deal with commercial and non-
commercial clients. Therefore, it has all level of employees of the bank.
Since my research program was directed to understand the level of job satisfaction, I had to gain
the practical area of responsibilities and of accountabilities of the employee so that I could
interact with them to assess their views about and relations with the organization. I tried best to
ask the staffs directly and indirectly to gather my information. However, I had a good access to
the bank‘s publications. My task was designed to understand the level of job satisfaction of the
employee of the HDFC Bank Ltd. For preparing this report I used primary and secondary data.
The objectives of the report were understood level of job satisfaction of the employees of the
HDFC Bank Ltd. So, the research was designed to achieve it. The previous studies on this issue
practically and empirically learnt that job satisfaction largely depends on the number of
interrelated components such as workplace, salary, training, lack of gender discrimination,
neutral promotion policies. Despite differences in opinions made by the employees of the
organization on what the study was conducted, what the study finds is that they are highly
satisfied in their job.
