Assignment

The assignment for Math 202 includes five problems focusing on advanced calculus concepts. Students are required to calculate the volume of a sphere using different coordinate systems, verify Green's theorem for specific integrals, and apply Stoke's theorem and Gauss's divergence theorem in various contexts. The problems involve both theoretical understanding and practical application of theorems in vector calculus.

coordinates, (ii) Cylindrical coordinates, and (iii) Spherical coordinates.
2) Verify Green’s theorem in the plane for  c (2 x − y3 )dx − xydy , where C is the boundary of the
region enclosed by the circles x 2 + y 2 = 1 and x 2 + y 2 = 9 .
3) Verify Green’s theorem in the plane for  c (3x 2 + 2 y )dx − ( x + 3cos y)dy , where C is the boundary
of the parallelogram having vertices at (0,0) , (2,0) , (3,1) and (1,1) .
4) Verify Stoke’s theorem in the plane for A = (2 x − y ) i − yz 2 j − y 2 zk and S is the upper half surface
of the sphere x 2 + y 2 + z 2 = 1 and C is the boundary.
