Total people needed: 8

Scene 1: Present Day – The Newsroom

Reporter (with mic):

“Breaking News! Scientists warn that the Ozone Layer, our Earth’s protective
shield, is in danger. To understand better, we have with us Doctor Ozone, who
claims to have a time machine!”

Doctor Ozone:
“Yes! Today, we’ll travel through time to see what happens to ozone — Past,
Present, and Future. Students, join me!”

Students (excited, one innocent):

“Wow! Time travel? Will we meet dinosaurs too?”
Doctor Ozone (smiles):
“No, but something scarier… humans with bad habits!”

Scene 2: The Past

(Doctor presses imaginary machine buttons, group makes “whoosh” sound

and steps aside like they traveled.)

Past Ozone (enters, glowing, strong):

Alter Ecology Club

“Hello! I am Ozone from the past. The skies are clean, forests are green, and
I’m healthy enough to block harmful UV rays!”

Student 1:
“Wow, you look so strong! What do you eat?”

Past Ozone:
“Fresh air and gratitude! Humans respected nature.”

Doctor Ozone (to audience):

“But let’s see what happens later…”

Scene 3: The Present

(Another “time travel” whoosh. Present Ozone enters, weak, coughing,

wearing a torn blue cape.)

Reporter:
“Oh no! What happened to you?”

Present Ozone (weak voice):

“Humans… they released harmful gases from sprays, fridges, and cars. They
cut forests too. Now I have holes!”

Student 2 (joking):
“Holes? Like Swiss cheese?”

Present Ozone (sadly):

“Yes… but these holes are deadly. More UV rays are entering, causing skin
cancer, eye damage, and harming crops.”

Doctor Ozone:
“If people change their habits, I can still heal. But what if they don’t? Let’s
check the future.”

Scene 4: The Future

(Lights dim, scary music sound, Future Ozone/Narrator appears.)

Future Ozone (robotic or deep voice):

“I am Ozone of the future… but I am almost gone. The Earth is burning, people
wear UV-protection suits, crops have died, and skin diseases are everywhere.”

Student 1 (shocked):
“No parks? No picnics? No ice cream in the Sun?”

Future Ozone:
“No life without protection. You destroyed your umbrella against the Sun.”
Alter Ecology Club

Reporter:
“This is terrifying! Doctor, is there any hope?”

Scene 5: Back to Present – The Pledge

(Whoosh, they return.)

Doctor Ozone:
“Yes, the future can change if we act today! Plant trees, save energy, stop
harmful sprays, and use eco-friendly technology.”

Reporter (to audience):

“Breaking News Update: The Ozone Layer can heal — but only if we protect it.”

All characters hold hands, say in chorus:

“Ozone Protects Us, We Must Protect Ozone!”
