Basic Computer Notes

1. What is a Computer?
A computer is an electronic device that accepts data, processes it, and gives useful output.

2. Parts of a Computer
Main parts: Monitor, CPU, Keyboard, Mouse, Printer, Speakers.

3. Hardware
Hardware refers to physical parts of a computer that we can see and touch.

4. Software
Software is a set of instructions that tells the computer what to do. Example: Windows, MS Word.

5. Input Devices
Keyboard, Mouse, Scanner, Microphone are input devices.

6. Output Devices
Monitor, Printer, Speaker are output devices.

7. Memory
Memory stores data and instructions. Examples: RAM, ROM, Hard Disk.

Internet is a global network that connects computers worldwide.
