In several nations today, to get employed, individuals are required to travel
away from their friends and families. Indeed, individuals are required to
move away as further exploration allows them to find better jobs, or their
existing job might relocate to another city for economic development. With
that in mind, I firmly believe the advantages of moving away outweigh the
disadvantages.
First and foremost, one major advantage of traveling far from family and
friends is that it improves individuals’ job opportunities and encourages
socialization. People can find jobs that offer high-quality offices with
generous salaries by exploring different locations, ensuring sustained
productivity at work. Moreover, they can get acquainted with new cultures,
meet new friends, and coworkers by moving away. For example, if people
move from their home to their country’s capital to look for jobs, because the
capital has the most well-developed economy in the country, they can easily
look for leading corporations with friendly staff and colleagues.
Another significant benefit of moving away for work is the independence it
fosters. This is because individuals will have to handle daily life management
without relatives’ assistance. Usually, individuals have parents to help them
with household chores and have friends to share stories and laughter.
However, by working far away, individuals will learn the importance of being
responsible and expressing gratitude, as well as they will be well-equipped
with experiences that cannot be easily forgotten. For instance, individuals
who moved away from their loved ones might change their personality in a
positive way, which allows them to face bigger life issues.
Despite the advantages, the drawbacks of moving far away are the loss of
motivation and the feeling of homesickness. Since individuals are far away,
while handling life problems on their own, individuals may lose motivation
without the support of anyone. They might also miss the familiar sense of
warmth and peace at home because they are living without parents listening
to their children, siblings to share time with, and friends to hang out with.
Nevertheless, this issue can be mitigated using digital tools like social media
apps, video calls, and texting. People can also make as many home visits as
they desire. Therefore, moving away remains a strong choice to find a career.
In conclusion, to find work, I believe the advantages of moving away to find
career opportunities outweigh the disadvantages. Traveling away helps
individuals to meet new people and coworkers, find their suitable job, and
nurtures independence. Despite the disadvantage of lacking emotional
support, digital tools and frequent visits can minimize this problem. By
moving away to find work, individuals give themselves the best chance to
develop physically and mentally while staying connected to their close
relatives using technology solutions.
