(Pause, look around the audience, raise eyebrows with excitement.)
“Are you ready? Let’s step into the adventure together!”
Opening (1 minute)

“Long ago, in a quiet village, there was a tiny lantern. It
wasn’t shiny, it wasn’t grand — just small, with a
flickering light. Everyone laughed at it. ‘You’re too weak

Rising Action (3 minutes)
- The lantern tries to help:
- In the classroom: children laugh, “Too dim!”
- In the marketplace: sellers say, “Too small!”
- In the forest: animals whisper, “Too weak!”

🪶 The Story
(Gesture flapping wings, strut proudly across stage.)
Once upon a time, in a beautiful forest, lived a peacock
with feathers so bright and shiny they looked like
rainbows. Every morning, he spread his tail wide and
shouted, ‘Look at me! I am the most beautiful bird in the
forest!’
(Voice loud, proud, chin up.)
The other animals admired his feathers, but they grew
tired of his boasting. The sparrow whispered, ‘He thinks
beauty is everything…’ The crow muttered, ‘He doesn’t
even sing well!’
(Change tone to playful, flap arms like wings.)
One day, the proud peacock saw a nightingale singing
sweetly. Her voice was gentle, like music floating in the
air. The peacock laughed, ‘Ha! You may sing, but look at
my feathers! I am far greater than you!’
(Pause, soften voice, look thoughtful.)
But the nightingale replied kindly, ‘Beauty fades, but a
good heart and talent last forever.’
(Gesture looking up at the sky, voice dramatic.)
Suddenly, dark clouds gathered. Rain poured down. The
peacock tried to fly, but his heavy feathers dragged him
down. He struggled, flapping wildly, while the small
sparrow and nightingale flew easily to safety.
(Act panicked, flap arms, then slump shoulders.)
The peacock realized his pride had blinded him. His
feathers were beautiful, but they could not save him. He
lowered his head and whispered, ‘I was wrong. I should
not boast. I should be grateful for what I have.’
(Smile warmly, voice gentle.)
From that day on, the peacock stopped bragging. He still
had his dazzling feathers, but he learned to respect the
talents of others. The forest was happier, and the
peacock became a friend to all.
