Reflection Report

Name: Omkar Jha

Grade: 8

School: HVB Global Academy

Introduction
During my summer vacation, I decided to take part in a community service project that could make a
positive difference. I wanted to use this time to contribute meaningfully, step out of my comfort zone,
and grow both personally and socially.

Description
I volunteered at a local NGO that distributes food and essential supplies to underprivileged families.
My role included packing ration kits, organizing donations, and helping with distribution. On
weekends, I also assisted in teaching basic English and Math to children from nearby slum areas.

Impact
This experience made me more aware of the daily struggles some people face. It helped me develop
empathy, patience, and a sense of responsibility. I also improved my communication and teamwork
skills. Seeing smiles on the children’s faces was the most rewarding part of this journey.

Conclusion
Community service taught me that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference. I now
understand the importance of giving back and being an active, responsible citizen. I plan to continue
volunteering beyond this assignment.
