WHO WE ARE 2025
Gatari Design Studio is an interior design consultant founded by four women with academic
backgrounds in Interior Design and Master of Business Administration (MBA). We combine
formal training, creativity, and technical expertise to deliver thoughtful, refined, and functional
spaces.
While our primary focus is on concept development and interior planning, we understand that
some clients require an end-to-end service. For that reason, Gatari is pleased to provide
construction supervision and coordination—ensuring that every detail of the design drawings
is executed with precision and care.
We welcome collaboration with architects, contractors, and other design practitioners who
share our commitment to quality and creativity . We have collaborated with BALEE
ARCHITECTURE and continue to build mutual partnerships. Our studio is currently based in
Malang, Surabaya, and Bali, and we remain open to projects across Indonesia through
cooperation with local professionals.

GLADIOOL
This dental care clinic is located in a two-storey
building. The first floor is dedicated to patient
registration and the waiting area. We understand
that waiting for treatment can sometimes feel
frightening, so we designed the space to be
welcoming and comforting.

PORTFOLIO
To create a sense of calm for both patients and
dentist, we selected sooth-toned color palette and
combine indoor greeneries to bring a liveliness to
the dental treatment room.

JAVADIVA
JAVADIVA is a project that feels special to us. The
brand embraces Indonesian themes as the core
inspiration for their hijab pattern designs. As interior
designers, we aim to contribute to their mission of
sharing Indonesian culture through our offline store
and booth design.

PORTFOLIO
We chose a white color tone for both the walls and
ceiling to allow their patterned hijabs to stand out
and define the visual mood of the display.
In addition, the arc-shaped designs symbolize
represents the roof shapes commonly found in
Indonesian mosques.

Our clients’s kitchen renovation is designed to
elevate their experience in serving foods and
coffee.

The materials and color palette were selected to
fulfill the client’s request for a natural and earthy
feel in her kitchen.

This kitchen design is intended to bring a sense of
relaxation that aligns with the main function of our
client’s villa.

The layout plan is maintained, yet we try to
proposed upper cabinets that are intended to help
villa guest easily to find kitchen appliance. Warm
wood textures and soft neutral tones were chosen
to create a calm and modern atmosphere.

VILLA
This bathroom design embraces a warm,
minimalistic, and aesthetic with earthy tones and
natural textures which still aligns with the kitchen
material and color palette. This creates a
harmonious flow throughout the villa.

Strategic openings near the ceiling bring in natural
light, enhancing the calm, airy feel of the space.
Wooden blinds, rattan baskets, and organic
accessories create a harmonious, spa-like
atmosphere.

A second-floor extension renovation combined
with interior design in a Scandinavian style,
featuring compact space utilization with warm
wood elements and neutral colors to create a
spacious feel with minimal distractions.

and shelving, creating a cohesive visual rhythm
throughout the room.
With its harmonious palette and thoughtful layout,
this interior embodies a balanced blend of style,
practicality, and homey comfort.

BATHROOM
The bathroom design combines elegant marble,
copper accents, and artistic nature-themed panels,
featuring a stand-alone bathtub, warm lighting, and
wooden details to create a calming atmosphere.

This vanity area blends luxury with cultural artistry
through the harmonious use of natural stone and
refined decorative elements.

Initial Meet
In this initial meeting, we discuss the project’s
goals, scope, requirements, and preliminary
budget expectations. A site visit is also
conducted to take accurate measurements,
observe existing conditions, and identify any
opportunities or constraints that may influence
the design direction.
Preliminary Design
In this phase, we propose a conceptual design
that includes mood boards, visual references,
color palettes, and initial layout ideas to
illustrate the overall feel of the space.
Design Development
In this phase, we present and refine the detailed
design proposal based on discussions and
feedback from the previous stage.
Technical Drawings &
Documentation
Detailed drawings are created to guide
contractors during the production and
construction process. These documents also
serve as a reference for accurate budgeting and
implementation.
Contractor Coordination,
Production, and Supervision
In this phase, the designer coordinates with
contractors, monitors progress, and conducts
site checks to ensure quality and adherence to
the design plan described in the
documentation.
Styling and Final Handover
The designer finalizes the styling to create a
cohesive and aesthetically pleasing space. If the
client wishes to have their space photographed,
we are happy to arrange and conduct the
photo session for our project's portfolio.
Finally, the completed project is reviewed
together with the client to ensure full
satisfaction with the finished work.
