REFLECTION

UNIT 4
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE
EVALUATION AND REFLECTION
Evaluation Reflection
➢ Purpose: To assess the quality, ➢ Purpose: To think deeply about one's
effectiveness, or value of something. own learning, experiences, and
development.
➢ Focus: Judging evidence, arguments,
sources, or actions. ➢ Focus: Personal growth, understanding,
and learning process.
➢ Example: A student might evaluate ➢ Example: A student might reflect on
whether a source is reliable or whether how their views have changed after
a proposed solution to a global issue is researching a topic or working with

➢ Key Questions: ➢ Key Questions:
➢ Is this source trustworthy? ➢ What did I learn?
➢ How did my thinking change?
➢ How effective is this solution?
➢ What would I do differently next time?
➢ What are the strengths and weaknesses?
IDENTIFYING AND EXPLAINING PERSONAL
STRENGTHS
Personal strengths are the things you are good at—skills, qualities, or abilities that
help you learn, work with others, or make a positive impact.
➢ Think about what you enjoy doing or what comes naturally to you.
➢ Consider what teachers or friends often praise you for.
➢ Reflect on times when you successfully completed a task or solved a problem.

PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE
Issue on Water crisis
Paragraph 1:
▪ According to the United Nations, over 2 billion people live in countries experiencing high water stress, meaning that demand for
water exceeds the amount available during certain [Link] scarcity is one of the most serious global challenges affecting both
people and the [Link] regions around the world do not have enough clean water to meet daily needs for drinking,
farming, and sanitation.
Paragraph 2:
▪ For example, in India, population growth and urbanization have caused groundwater levels to drop significantly, especially in large
cities like Delhi and Chennai, where water shortages are now common during summer months. Rapid population growth increases
the demand for fresh water, worsening water scarcity. As more people are born, the need for food, housing, and industry grows, all
of which require water for production and daily use.
Paragraph 3:
▪ Research from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) shows that prolonged droughts in parts of Africa and
Australia are directly linked to changes in climate, reducing river flows and drying up reservoirs. Climate change is another major
cause of water scarcity around the world. Rising global temperatures and changing rainfall patterns reduce freshwater availability
in many regions.
Paragraph 4:
▪ In Singapore, the government’s “NEWater” program treats and reuses wastewater for industrial and drinking purposes, showing
how technology and planning can successfully manage water scarcity. Using water efficiently, recycling wastewater, and protecting
natural water sources ensure that water remains available for future [Link] water management can help reduce
the effects of water scarcity.
WHAT IS TEAMWORK?

▪ Teamwork is when a group of people work together to achieve a common goal.

▪ Teamwork means sharing ideas, listening to others, and combining skills to
explore issues like sustainability(protecting the environment and using resources
wisely).
