INTRO
Alliah:
In any workplace, opportunities can shape careers and motivate people to do their best. But
when those opportunities are not given fairly, doubts begin to grow. This story follows a team as
they face the issue of favoritism—and how honest communication helps restore balance and
trust.

Scene 1: Morning Announcement

Alliah:
It is Monday morning. The team gathers for a regular briefing, unaware that a single
announcement will quietly change the mood in the room.

Alecxa:
Good morning, everyone. For the upcoming leadership training, I’ve chosen Mr. Penny Tencia
to represent our team.

(A short pause fills the room.)

Carl:
Thank you, ma’am. I’ll make sure to give my best.
Alliah:
Penny Tencia accepts the opportunity with a polite smile, while Mia listens silently—wondering
once again how selections are being made.

Scene 2: Work Area

Alliah:
As the team returns to their tasks, the office becomes busy again. Yet behind the sound of
keyboards, some thoughts are harder to ignore.

Cherish:
Maureen, okay ka lang? You’ve been really quiet.

Mera:
Okay lang naman.
Pero minsan, mapapaisip ka kung napapansin pa ba yung effort mo.

Alliah:
Hana Beshie understands. She has seen Maureen Biology’s dedication, and she knows the
silence comes from disappointment, not laziness.

Scene 3: Pantry Break

Alliah:
During break time, away from desks and deadlines, conversations become more honest.

Heber:
Penny, congrats sa training.
Pero ramdam mo rin siguro yung reaction ng team kanina.

Carl:
Yeah.
Honestly, hindi rin ako comfortable minsan.

Heber:
Favoritism can affect everyone—kahit yung napipili.

Alliah:
For the first time, Penny Tencia begins to reflect on the situation from a wider perspective after
the talk with Clifford M. Canoy..
Scene 4: Quiet Conversation
Alliah:
Back at their workstations, Maureen Biology and Hana Beshie talk in low voices, careful but
sincere.

Mera:
Hindi naman ako galit.
Gusto ko lang malaman na patas ang pagkakataon para sa lahat.

Cherish:
Then maybe it’s time to speak up—professionally..

Scene 5: Team Check-In

Alliah:
Later that day, Ms. Anne M. Floyd calls for a short team meeting. The atmosphere is calm, but
attentive.

Alecxa:
Before we end the day, may concerns ba kayo?

(A brief silence follows. Mera takes a deep breath.)

Mera:
Ma’am, I hope this comes across respectfully.
I just want to understand how opportunities are being decided.

Alliah:
The room listens closely, realizing this is not a complaint—but a call for clarity.

Scene 6: Manager’s Perspective

Alliah:
The concern reaches management, leading to a discussion focused on improvement rather than
blame.
Janna:
Favoritism—even when unintentional—can weaken morale and trust.

Alecxa:
I see that now.
I didn’t mean for it to come across that way.

Janna:
We have to remember that acknowledgement becomes the first step toward change. If we want
to have a good workplace atmosphere, we should be aware of everything that's happening
around us.

Scene 7: Resolution
Heber:
With understanding comes action, and with action comes progress.

Alecxa:
From now on, all opportunities will have clear and transparent criteria.

Carl:
I appreciate that.
I want to earn opportunities, not be favored.

Mera:
Thank you, ma’am.
That’s all I wanted—to know effort matters.

Alliah:
The tension in the room eases, replaced by a sense of fairness and renewed trust.

OUTRO
Cherish:
Fairness does not mean everyone receives the same reward—but it means everyone is given
the same chance. In a workplace where fairness leads, trust follows, and teamwork grows
stronger.
