1. INTRODUCTION
Weather affects our daily life, agriculture and water
resources. As we can’t make any accurate predictions of
climatic conditions we all have to suffer with sudden
spells of rain or with sunny day, but if we can able to
make accurate predictions we can able to prevent such
problems.
Nearly, 4.90 lakh acres was damaged due to northeast
rainfall. If we fails to make any predictions we could even
lose one part of our meal, already population rich our
country is rich in population of poors if this continues to
happen many people will die due to starvation.
So with the topics which we are learnt we prepare a
project with help of the tool orange data mining tool

3. Problem definition:
As we all know how major cities of Tamil nadu and other parts of south
india was being affected due to heavy rainfall. As we all know climate can
not be predicted accurately but with the help of advanced technologies we
can predict climate for some extent accurately.
1. Problems faced by farmers: as due to improper prediction of rainfall, it
leads to a massive damage and loss of crops. Nearly, 4.90 lakhs acres of
crops were damaged due to rainfall. We all should realize that it is not
only loss for them it is loss for whole nation.
2. Water management: due to improper prediction of rainfall, nearly
thousands of liters of rainwater was wasted, already our country was
suffering with water scarcity. If we fails to save rainwater in future
water price will hike and equals to price of gold.
3. Flood and drought risk: being richly populated country most of the poor
people lives near rivers, if government fails to create awareness about
flood then thousands people will die due to sudden and floods, at the
same time if we fails to save rain water we may also suffer severe
drought in summer.
4. Transportation disruptions: due to heavy rainfall roads may block with
flood and which leads to block in transportation which leads to delay in
work.
13
Problem statement: as weather predictions are inefficient and
predictions made were false sometimes, it leads to great destruction.
This project aims to predict weather analysis and rainfall prediction
with utmost accuracy which is much helpful during rainy season.

5. Brainstorming:
1. Ideate: possible ways to resolve the problem
Use AI models in orange to generate solutions
Compare AI models each other
Create simple reports for farmers (prepare them simple in
the way farmers can easily understand)
2. Brain Dump: collect ideas freely without judging
Rainfall prediction is very difficult
Farmerws lose crops due to unexpected rainfall
Schools and transports are disrupted
Orange tool can help without any coding
3. Brain writing: write ideas individually then compile it together
and improve.
Use past weather data
Predict rainfall
Early warning for flood
Help farmers plan crops and also add on advice about
sowing crops and irrigation

6. Design:
What are the steps that users will now do using your AI solution to address the
problem?
Users (or project team) gather historical weather
data temperature, humidity, wind speed, rainfall
records.
Using orange data tool, import weather analysis
data using file widget.
Using orange widgets like box plot, scatter plot and
make patterns which helps to understand much
easier.
Use decision trees or naïve bayes to analyze the
past date to predict rainfall
Use test score widget to analyze the performance of
machine.
Make some real life predictions for general checkup
With these analysis, a community, or students, or
managements, or individual can plan according to
the weather.

Team collaboration:
How did you actively work with others in your team and with
stakeholders?
1. We started working on thisproject by splitting our works equally to
get better ideas and also many ideas.
2. We all worked together with a motive to execute these which will
be more helpful for the people who suffering with unexpected
rainfall and also for farmers.
3. Our subject teacher and parents also helped us to understand about
the difficulties people had faced in the earlier times.
4. And we asked them suggestions whether which we have planned to
create will be useful. They agreed with this plan
5. Theideas of all of us was all onto give awareness about weather and
rainfall and also our project will helps farmers
6. We four of us worked on it by having live meetings and also through virtual
meetings.
24
Thought and note:
As we all know how much our country has
been affected with drought and water scarcity, the
best remedy for this issue is saving rainwater.
Rainwater is a source which is abundant and also it is
one of the purest form of water. Thousands of liters
of rainwater has been wasted world wide, if we all
start saving rainwater we can prevent severe water
scarcity for ourselves and also for the sake of our
future generation.
Water is also known to be a natural medicine
Which can cure any disease and also on an average a
man should take nearly 3 to 4 liters of water to
maintain a healthy lifestyle but if everyone in our
country follow this within a week everyone of us will
suffer with water scarcity.
Our kind request is to save water, because there
are other organisms also co-existing with us. If we
fails to save water then water can be kept only at
museums for our future generation.
