Propylene Glycol Production Data

This document describes a process for producing propylene glycol from propylene oxide. Propylene oxide and water are fed into a reactor at 75F and 16.17 psia where they react to form propylene glycol. The reactor effluent exits at 75F and is then heated to 130F before entering a separator. The separator produces a propylene glycol stream at the bottom at 366.3F and a water vapor stream at the top.
