• Nowadays even videoconferencing is
used.
Unstructured Interview
• It is an Interview without any set format.
• Also called non-directive or Informal
interview.
• Unstructured interviews allow questions
based on the interviewee's responses.
Advantages Of Unstructured
Interview
• It is more like a conversation and the
interviewee is relaxed.
• Permits full exploration of ideas and
beliefs.
• Gives maximum flexibility to be able to
pursue questioning in whatever direction
that appears to appropriate.
Disadvantages of Unstructured
Interviews
• It requires great amount of time.
• It takes time for the interviewer to gain
trust and build rapport with interviewee.
• It is difficult to analyze data gathered.
• The respondent is too much in control.
