Thank you to all of the co-owners who attended the 42nd Annual Meeting this past weekend. Co-owners asked some great questions and we all enjoyed a wonderful lunch and conversation! Furthermore, thank you to all co-owners who submitted their ballots for the New Board of Directors. It was a close vote this year but ultimately we had three winners: Ms. Carol Dell Ms. Mukadees Nacollari Mr. James Asbury Thank you to everyone who ran for the Board and to everyone who submitted their votes! If you have any questions about the Annual Meeting, please give the office a call! You can also stop by the PVCA website at [Link] for an online version of the Annual Meeting packet. The Board of Directors recently decided to stop mailing out all of the packets like in past years, as this cost the Association a significant amount of money in postage. However, we will be putting the information up at the website listed above by the end of the week. Please check out the information there!
Our new hours will be: Monday-Friday 8 AM 4:30 P.M. We will be closed Saturday and Sunday.

Beautification Day
PVCAs Annual Beautification Day is scheduled for: Saturday, June 9th at 10:00 A.M We will meet at the Village House. This is an annual tradition for Presidents Village and we would like to keep it alive for many years to come! Unfortunately, over the past couple years, fewer and fewer co-owners have stopped by to help us plant flowers. We are asking all co-owners to check their calendars for this date and set aside a little time to help fellow residents make our complex even more beautiful than it already is! Please RSVP with the Office by Thursday, June 7th. Flowers will be provided!
Cat/Dog Issue
At the Annual Meeting, a resident of PVCA, Ms. Tonya Mercier spoke to co-owners about the issue regarding a by-law change to allow cats and dogs on the premises. As many of you know, the Board recently mailed and collected ballots in order to determine if co-owners would be interested in the Board writing up a new by-law amendment to be voted on by coowners. The vote came back as a no, and the Board therefore did not pursue the issue further. Ms. Mercier felt that co-owners should have an ability to discuss/campaign on the issue more thoroughly, as well as have a set of guidelines regarding which pets would be allowed. The Board is allowing her to do this by explaining that if Ms. Mercier is able to collect 100 signatures from co-owners, the Board would pursue the matter once more, researching and drawing up a new amendment that would include guidelines regarding weight, size, breed, and number of pets allowed. Signing Ms. Merciers list does not necessarily mean that a coowner agrees with allowing pets, but it would allow for a more thorough examination of the issue and a drawing up of an actual by-law for co-owners to vote on. If you are interested in signing Ms. Merciers list, please contact the office and we will put you in touch with her. 586-574-1094
Maintenance Issues
Please remember to call or email the Office if you have a Maintenance issue that you would like addressed. Unfortunately, many co-owners approach the Maintenance crew directly. While our workers always enjoy greeting co-owners, maintenance requests are required to go through the Office so they they can become official work orders. This makes the process fast and simple. Call the office at 586-574-1094 or email us at presidentsvillage@[Link]
Association Dues Reduced
As co-owners should be aware, the Board of Directors recently reduced Association Dues by ten percent. This reduction in Association Dues will take effect beginning June 1st, 2012.
The office sent out letters at the beginning of May explaining the reduction and providing each co-owner with their new amount. If you did not receive this letter, please contact the office right away and we will get that right over to you!
PVCA Action Committee
The Board of Directors will be putting together a PVCA Action Committee in the coming weeks. This committee aims at keeping our complex safe. The committee would ask for one co-owner from each building to volunteer as captain of that building. As the captain of the building, that co-owner would be responsible for reporting to the office any activity that they believe is suspicious or out of place. Co-owners of that building can report to the captain to report any concerns about suspicious activities that they may have. The Board of Directors will be discussing the creation of this committee at their next meeting. Please be on the lookout for more information. We hope that several co-owners will volunteer for this important initiative.
