There are many ways to prevent school shootings.

Supporting Detail 1:
Transitional Phrase: For example,
schools need to be more careful by buying metal detectors for
entrance ways. In addition, schools should have several teachers or
principals standing in the doorway if the alarm goes off.

Supporting Detail 2:
Transitional phrase: Equally important, all schools should have serious
talks with their students about school shootings.
In these talks, we should talk about how serious it
is and what the consequences are. We should not be
afraid to talk about school shootings openly so that
we can reach a greater number of people.

Supporting Detail 3:
Transitional phrase and/or closing phrase:
Finally, students should really think about how they treat others
and think about how they want to be treated as well. To do this, schools
should inform their students about the dangers of bullying and how
it can lead to violence and school shootings. By talking about bullying,
schools can reinforce the rules and consequences of bullying.
