The oceans of the world
Oceans cover about 70% of the Earths surface. The oceans contain roughly 97% of the Earths water supply. There are also many seas (smaller branches of an oceans); seas are often partly enclosed by land. The largest seas are the South China Sea, the Carribean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea.

What are the importances of Ocean?
1. Worlds oceans form an important part of the water cycle. 2. Oceans as a means of transport. It is the easiest and cheapest way to carry bulky raw materials and manufactures goods. 3. The ocean provides a source of fish. 4. Oceans are used for recreation purposes. 5. Some oceans are rich in minerals.
