Cells Forming Tissues and Organs

Cells in multicellular organisms combine to form tissues and organs. There are four main types of tissues in humans and many animals: (1) epithelial tissue, (2) connective tissue, (3) nervous tissue, and (4) muscular tissue. These tissues are organized into organs. Plant cells also combine into tissues, including dermal, vascular, and meristematic tissues, which then organize into organs like leaves, stems, and roots.
