Directional Filter bank
A Directional Filter Bank (DFB) is an array
of selective filters designed to allow
directional information to be extracted in
the analysis section and reconstructed in
the synthesis section.
DFB decomposes the input signal into
decimated directional sub-bands.
Each sub-band is directionally orthogonal
to others.
The sum of all the pixels in the sub-bands
equals to the total number of pixels in the
original image.
