Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Islamabad Hospital

The Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Radiology Department conducted a QI/PDSA project from January to April 2009 to reduce waiting and reporting times. The project team developed and implemented a policy where all staff were instructed to handle cases according to timelines. After studying the results over 4 months, the department was able to achieve 94% improvement in turning reports around within 24 hours. The department plans to continue their methods to reach 100% on-time report completion.

Aim of the project is to reduce waiting and 
reporting time. The project was started in the
month of Jun 2009 due to delay in waiting and
reporting Time. The project was Reviewed
after 4 months by April 2009. Policy was
