An example of a Business report

The report is written by Industrial PhD Pia Hønnerup

Jensen from the company NatImmune.

Both Pia herself and her company has authorized our use
of the report as a ”teaching-example”

The report was approved

Our general evaluation of the report

The report is not perfect.

But it is a good report, with some

strong qualities and some deficiencies.
The strong qualities

• The author’s own PhD-project is in center

of the report
• The author has an interesting analysis of
successes and problems experienced in the
course of the project
• The report is nuanced and contains self-
criticism
• The report is written with enthousiasm and
interest.
The deficiencies

• A somewhat short presentation and

discussion of the theory from the business
course (innovation theory)
• An also somewhat short analysis of the
company’s form of innovation
• In the second part of the report (section 2
and forward), there is no correpondence
between theory and analysis
The perfect business report…

….. will retain the strong qualities

mentioned and work with the
deficiencies….
