Vienna Police Volunteer Recognition Event

The Town of Vienna Police Department and Vienna Youth Football, Incorporated honored several police department volunteers from 2009 at a dinner. Vienna Youth Football Chairman Mark Meana donated funds for the meal at Artie's Restaurant in Fairfax, Virginia. Each volunteer received a leather organizer bearing the police department logo in recognition of their service through activities such as the auxiliary police, record keeping, and women's self-defense instruction. Chief Robert Carlisle and Mark Meana hosted the event to thank the honorees for their assistance to the community and police department during the previous year.

Honor 2009 Vienna Police Department Volunteers

On May 25, 2010 the Town of Vienna Police Department along with Vienna Youth
Incorporated honored several individuals that had volunteered their time to the Vienna
Police Department during 2009. Vienna Youth Football, Incorporated Chairman Mark
Meana was present and donated the funds to cover the costs associated with the meal.
Attendees were treated to dinner at Artie’s Restaurant in Fairfax, Virginia. Each
volunteer was then presented with a black leather Day Timer bearing the artwork of the 7
point star worn by officers of the Vienna Police Department.
Chief of Police, Colonel Robert A. Carlisle and Vienna Youth Football League Chairman
Mark Meana hosted the event. During 2009 honorees served the community and assisted
the police department in many different ways. Some served as Auxiliary Police Officers
(APO’s), some assisted with information maintenance and record keeping, and others
helped instruct the R.A.D. women’s self defense classes.
