Project Reflection and Collaboration Insights

Sarah Garee reflects on three group projects completed for her Polls 1100 class. For the first project, which involved conducting surveys and writing reports, her group split up the work evenly and collaborating went smoothly. The second individual project on creating a voter information newsletter was easy to complete. The last group project creating a presentation poster was more challenging due to communication issues, but the group worked well together overall. Through these experiences, Sarah learned that effort, work process, and time management are crucial for success on any group or individual project.

Final reflection
The strength and weaknesses of my effort, collaboration, and work process varied
from each project. It also varied from the groups I was in. Project one we conducted
surveys then wrote research reports. Project two we made a newsletter infirmity people
on how to be a rational voter. Project three we made a poster and presented it to the
class.
For project one I believe the way my group split up the papers worked out so
smoothly. Each person had 10 surveys total, 5 girls and 5 guys. Afterwards we gathered
them all and someone made a chart out of it all which we reply resourceful for writing
our research paper. The second project was an individual project. I finished this fairly
quickly because of how easy it was. I really enjoyed this one for all of the freedoms we
had on the project. The last project we did was a poster on a chosen topic. This one I
found a little more challenging due to the communication problem between the group.
But overall it went really smooth and I believe we did a really good job.
This evaluation has let me see that whether or not you work in a group, effort and
work process for any project is crucial. If you have a project that you are allowed a lot of
time to work on, you should set personal due dates (if the teacher did not already sign
one) to make sure you are on the right track. I plan to be more time efficient on my next
projects that I receive.
