Minneapolis Police Week Events 2010

The Minneapolis Police Department is holding precinct open houses throughout the week of May 10-13 and on May 15 to celebrate Police Week, where the public can learn about police equipment and events; the Minnesota Law Enforcement Memorial Association will also hold a Standing of the Memorial Guard at the State Capitol on May 14 evening through May 15 for National Law Enforcement Memorial Day, including a candlelight service on the 15th.

Police Week is May 9-15, 2010

The Minneapolis Police Department is holding events throughout the City which
you are welcome to participate in. The Precinct Open Houses will be:
• Monday, May 10 – 2nd Precinct Open House from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at
1911 Central Ave NE
• Tuesday, May 11 – 3rd Precinct Open House from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at
3000 Minnehaha Avenue South
• Wednesday, May 12 – 1st Precinct Open House from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. ,
19 North 4th Street
• Thursday, May 13th – 5th Precinct Open House from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at
3101 Nicollet Avenue South
• Saturday, May 15th – 4th Precinct Open House at SOD from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00
p.m. 4119 Dupont Ave N. Various events, displays of police equipments, and
information will be available at each of the Open Houses.

The State of Minnesota’s Law Enforcement Memorial Association


will hold the Standing of the Memorial Guard
beginning at 8:00 pm on the evening of May 14th
at the State Capitol Grounds
and all day May 15th
which is National Law Enforcement Memorial Day.
The Candlelight service will be at 7:30 PM on May 15th,
